Geology 102 and 202 combined field trip(s) to the Oregon Coast.

Meet at 9 am (doors open by 830) in RM 142 (Geology Lab room) and plan to return as late as 7 pm.

We will drive a 15 passenger van and minivan to Florence (with a few stops before hand), then north to Heceta Head Lighthouse area.

Our goal is to look at geomorphology processes and landforms, such as meandering streams, estuary, aeolian dunes, and headland erosion.

BRING your own food and water. We will stop at Fred Meyers in Florence if you prefer to buy something, and eat lunch together near the sand dunes.

Dress appropriately for the weather (it will be rainy).
