Students continue to explore the issues raised by Michelle Alexander's book The New Jim Crow. Chapter 3 'The Color of Justice' concludes with the outlining of how police departments may defend against charges of racial profiling by pointing to a number of other factors, in addition to race, that inform their decisions about who to stop and search. Please watch, listen and think about what police officers share about race and policing in their own words.
