TiLT Format
A TiLTed assignment includes the following:
- A purpose statement - tell students what they are doing; what skills they will be learning/demonstrating; and how it fits into the course, program, and/or real world applications.
- A task statement - lay out for students exactly what they will be doing. For more complex assignments, you may also want to include an example of what a completed assignment would look like.
- A criteria statement - tell students exactly what they will be graded on. This can be in the form of a bulleted list or rubric.
