Listening and support sessions, you are not alone |

Any and all LCC students are welcome to these sessions, where LCC administrators will be present to listen and support students about recent government actions and bias against historically marginalized groups. We will have hot beverages and cookies for attendees. Please join fellow students to attend one of four listening and support sessions scheduled for these times:

Geology Club wants you to surprise your loved ones this Valentines Day with a unique gift from our collection of natural wonders! Make sure to stop by Center 2nd floor for Adore Rocks, Rock Sale! Geology Club will be selling stunning agates, wood opal, obsidian, and more on February 12 from 12:30- 2:30 P.M. & February 13 from 2:30 - 4:00 P.M. When you stop by make sure you do the "Build Your Own Valentine"!
Feb. 13-14: Valentines Day with a Therapy Dog! Come to Center Building and get love from Moose Thursday from 11:00 - 2:00 P.M. and Friday from 10:00 - 2:00 P.M.
At the Gender Equity Center you can come by and make crafts to show your appreciation to your friends. We will have supplies to either make friendship bracelets or necklaces, as well as art supplies to make hand made cards! The event will be hosted on Thursday, in building 1 room 202 from 10:00 - 2:00 P.M.

Dental Hygiene students are offering low cost cleanings for students and community members, right here on campus in Building 32 on the 3rd floor! Pay only $50 for adults and $35 for children, for a thorough exam and cleaning. This includes cleaning, periodontal therapy, homecare aids, and more. Feb. 1 - 28: Celebrate African American history with Black art! Find beauty, resilience, reclamation, creativity and humanity in this book display featuring of Black visual artists at the LCC Library.
Feb. 15 Titan Basketball hosts Chemeketa Saturday Feb. 15. Cheer on the women's team at 2 pm and the Men's team at 4 pm. All Lane students are free.
Feb. 13 - 15: The Student Production Association is proud to present Winter Shorts! Each winter term, SPA hosts a celebration of ten-minute plays written and directed by students. Join us at the Blue Door Theatre on LCC’s Main Campus to watch the next generation of theatre professionals! All performances are free to the public, but donations are gladly accepted. No need for reservations as seating is available at the door starting at 7:30 P.M., and on Feb. 16 at 2:00 P.M.
Feb. 17: Movie Day at the Gender Equity Center! Starting at 11:00 A.M. watch "The Normal Heart"
Feb. 19 - 20: from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M., Auditions will be open to all students and community members, ALL identities are welcome! No monologue required! Auditioners need only attend one night. For information, contact haimbachb@lanecc.edu.
Mar. 8: The Student Production Association brings to you The Unknowing is the first full-length choreographic piece by LCC student Ethan Guillen, with original music by LCC staff member Daniel Brawley. The piece is an exploration of how we carry on and support one another in an often tough world, where too many lack interest in knowing and empathizing with others. The ensemble of 11 dancers, through 4 acts, examines how we, particularly queer and transgender people, minorities, and others whose existence is seen as a threat to society, can thrive. Tickets are available at the door sliding scale $5-15. No one will be turned away for inability to pay.
March 17: The Student Production Association is offering, for FREE "Stage Combat Workshop" to all LCC student. Come learn the essentials actors are most likely to encounter on stage, introducing the skills needed to perform some of the basic falls, hits, slaps, grabs, shoves, good partnering, and more, both safely and with dramatic effect. Come prepared to move! Instructor Kevin Inouye is a Certified Teacher with the Society of American Fight Directors and an award-winning fight choreographer and coordinator for both stage and screen. Table Top Gaming Society Take a break and have fun with others or challenge the mind. Play classic games (Monopoly, Apple to Apples), modern games (Settlers of Catan, Azul) and role-playing games (Pathfinder), or bring in your own game and teach it to others.
A safe space for LGBTQ+ folks and their allies to fully express their individuality regardless of race, class, gender, religion, or national origin, promote equity in our community, and uplift the voices of members of the LGBTQ+ community. We also strive to provide educational opportunities and materials to folks seeking an understanding of the issues and experiences of our community, and combat a variety of social inequalities based on intersectional identities.

Scholarships are a great way to keep college costs down or borrow less money. A scholarship is a financial gift given to student applicants that successfully demonstrate their commitment to their education. Athletics and Recreation: Open Gym Monday - Friday, from 9:00 - 2:00 P.M., Stop by building 5 room 204 to pick up paddles for ping pong, or a foosball for the tables in the lobby.
Tutoring Available On Campus and Online Tutors are available in multiple locations and online via Zoom and email. The STEM Learning Zone and Zoom Hub are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 - 4:00 P.M., with additional evening and Saturday Zoom hours.

Student Activity Fee: This committee will be having final votes on Feb. 14 at 4:00 P.M. after spending a cumulative of 100 hours reviewing the various fee-funded groups requests for the 2025-2026 academic year. This is a public meeting for all to attend. Please email the safc@lanecc.edu for the zoom link or join in person at Center 202. If you would like to see all the information gathered and the recorded links please email the request as well.
Sustainability input needed! Please provide your input of this list of potential sustainability actions related to LCC's Climate Action Plan 3.0 update process. Do you have a concern about a class? If you have a concern about a course your are taking, please talk with your instructor if you feel comfortable doing so. If not, please consider filling out a class concern form. Common class concerns can include: not posting grades in a timely manner, unexpected changes in class modality/delivery, unreasonable changes to the syllabus, and grade penalties for academic misconduct without the opportunity to explain.
