Tips for Week 8
This week, we want you to know about two crucial deadlines:
Deadlines Approaching!
Friday, Nov., 21: Last day to make Fall term schedule changes.
Are you considering one of the following*:
- withdrawing from a class?
- taking an Incomplete?
- changing your grading method?
If so, Friday, Nov., 21 is the last day to do it. *Remember! These decisions can impact your Financial Aid, so always check with Advising or Financial Aid first.*
Coming Up: Monday, Dec., 15 at 11:59 p.m.: Deadline to pay off your Fall term bill.
If you haven’t already paid your balance, make sure to pay by Monday, Dec., 15 so you aren’t dropped from next term’s courses.
Can’t make the deadline? Reach out to Student Accounts. They’ll explore payment options with you. They’re happy to help! bursar@lanecc.edu | Building 1, first floor

Gun Lockers and medication lock boxes help reduce death by suicide.
Did you know that suicide has accounted for the majority of firearm deaths since 1995 (Hopkins 2023)? If you or someone in your household is a gun owner, we want to help you take precautions to prevent gun related harm. The LCC Mental Health and Wellness Center (MHWC) can provide free gun lockers and safes to students to help reduce gun related suicide.
Another common way to attempt suicide is a medication overdose. The MHWC also has locking boxes for medications.
