Tips for Finals Week! (NEEDS PHOTO)
You’re So Close!
Finals week is here. You got this! Here are some tips to help you through:
- It’s not too late for tutoring. Meet in person or online to review for the final.
- Get enough sleep, drink plenty of water, and eat good food. If you’re facing food insecurity, the Titan Pantry is open to all Lane students.
- Find a quiet study space in the library. Buildings 10, 16, and 30 also have great little study nooks.
- Avoid distractions. Turn off your phone and set your computer to a calming music playlist.
- Practice self-compassion and self-care. The Mental Health and Wellness Center has tips, the Zen Den, and free counseling.
Grades Viewable Next Week
Generally speaking, your final course grades are viewable after 5 p.m. the Wednesday after the term ends. To view your grades, login to myLane, select the "myEnrollment" tab, then in the “Student Records“ section, click on ”View Final Grades" and follow the prompts.

The symptoms of SAD often resemble symptoms of depression, and can last until the end of the season. The Zen Den, building 18 room 102, provides light boxes for any student who needs them. According to the National Institute of Health, light therapy has been proven to be an effective treatment for SAD. Even short exposures to light boxes can show immediate improvement in mood. Why SGA Public Meetings Matter — And Why You Should Be Paying Attention
Student Government Association (SGA) public meetings are where real decisions about student life at Lane happen. From funding your favorite programs and events, to shaping campus policies, to elevating student concerns to college leadership (such as class cancellations, advocating for recreation, and tuition increases)—these meetings, on Tuesdays 4:00 - 6:00 PM in Center 202 are your front-row view into how your Student Activity Fee is used and how student voices guide the direction of our campus.
Attending (or reading the meeting!) is the easiest way to stay informed, hold your representatives accountable, and make sure your priorities are heard. And if you’re considering running for an SGA position in Winter Term, tuning into these meetings is a required part of understanding the work, responsibilities, and expectations of student leadership.
Applications for Winter Term SGA positions are open now, so this is the perfect time to get informed, get involved, and decide how you want to make an impact.
Come learn how decisions are made, see student leadership in action, and be part of the conversations shaping your experience at Lane. Your voice matters here—let’s use it.
|
Have Thoughts About Tuition? Your Voice Matters!
The college’s Budget Development Subcommittee is beginning discussions about next year’s budget, including early ideas about a potential tuition increase. Nothing has been decided yet, and student input is a critical part of this process.
Students are encouraged to attend the upcoming meeting, Wednesday, 12:00 -1:30 PM in room 19/243 and share their experiences, concerns, and perspectives. Your voice helps shape decisions that impact all Titans.
Want to get involved or learn more? Connect with Lane Student Government —everyone is welcome to join the conversation!

Do you have a concern about a class?
If you have a concern about a course your are taking, please talk with your instructor if you feel comfortable doing so. If not, please consider filling out a class concern form. Common class concerns can include: not posting grades in a timely manner, unexpected changes in class modality/delivery, unreasonable changes to the syllabus, and grade penalties for academic misconduct without the opportunity to explain.
