Heads Up, Titans: Plan Extra Travel Time Starting Jan. 5
Beginning January 5, the westbound OR 126B Main Street Bridge in Springfield will be fully closed for approximately three weeks while ODOT completes bridge repairs and safety upgrades. During the closure, both directions of traffic, pedestrians, and bicyclists will be routed to the South A Street Bridge, with temporary traffic pattern changes and potential delays.
If you travel through Springfield to get to campus, please plan ahead and allow extra time to get to classes, work, and activities. Expect daytime construction, lane closures, flaggers, and congestion during peak hours. Learn more about detours and what to expect during the closure.

Meet Your Senator!
Where are you originally from?
- I am from Southern Utah and moved to Oregon over 10 years ago. I grew up in a small town in rural America where the livestock outnumber the people. I have a 10-year-old daughter now and Eugene, Oregon is my current home.
What do you like to do in your free time?
- I absolutely love to skateboard! I have been doing it since I was a child (since that was really all there was to do in my small town). I have learned quite a few tricks in my time, and I still enjoy doing it to relax and get some good exercise now that I am older. I also enjoy playing games with my daughter Orianna and taking my dog Toby for walks with her as well.
Tell me something about your role in SGA that you have become passionate about.
- I was brought on in the middle of the term as the CoSO (Coalition of Student Organizations) chair. I didn’t think much of this position at first, but I have learned to respect how important and necessary it is at LCC. I have and will continue to dedicate my time to my fellow students and ensure their journeys into and with their organizations are fully supported.
What impact(s) would you like to make during your time at LCC?
- I want to make a difference for our students at LCC. I want their first foray into higher education to be a loving and memorable experience with their well-being and happiness at the forefront of the operations at LCC. Every student has a place here and I want them to continue to feel that way. As a member of our student government, it is our duty to uphold this responsibility.
Favorite student resource and why?
- My favorite student resources are my fellow senators, VP, President, school advisors, and student body that we have. We couldn’t do what we do without all of you and your efforts to help students like me create an engaging and successful journey into academia is critical. We must never let student-led efforts fade away and we should always do what is right for our students – this includes proper compensation and class offerings as well.

Do you have a concern about a class?
If you have a concern about a course your are taking, please talk with your instructor if you feel comfortable doing so. If not, please consider filling out a class concern form. Common class concerns can include: not posting grades in a timely manner, unexpected changes in class modality/delivery, unreasonable changes to the syllabus, and grade penalties for academic misconduct without the opportunity to explain.
