Planning the Transfer Journey at Oregon Transfer Days
Oregon Transfer Days is an annual event coordinated by the Oregon Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (OrACRAO). The event is designed to support community college students who are considering transferring to a four-year college or university.
During Oregon Transfer Days, admissions representatives from public and private institutions across Oregon and the region come together to provide information on transfer pathways, degree options, admission requirements, financial aid, and the overall transfer process. This event gives students the opportunity to connect directly with university representatives in one place, helping them make informed decisions and plan successfully for transfer to a bachelor’s degree program. National TRiO Day Open House
Celebrate National TRIO Day with LCC’s TRIO Team! Join us for an Open House on Thursday, February 26, from 11:00 –2:00 PM in Building 1, Room 219. Stop by to mingle, learn more about TRIO SSS, and help celebrate 40 years of National TRIO Day.

LCC MECHA Goes to MECHA NATIONALS
MEChA de LCC is excited to invite students to apply to attend the 2026 MEChA National Conference in Salt Lake City, April 10–12, 2026. This national gathering brings together student leaders, organizers, and community advocates from across the country to build collective power, strengthen leadership skills, and deepen our understanding of social justice, cultura, and community empowerment.
Attendees will participate in workshops, cultural celebrations, and strategy sessions focused on educational equity, immigrant rights, political advocacy, and grassroots organizing.
This is an opportunity to connect with other MEChistas, represent Lane Community College, and bring back knowledge and energy to uplift our campus and community. Students selected to attend are expected to actively participate, collaborate, and share what they learn upon return.

Come to the APISU Relaxation Station 12:00 PM - 3:30 PM in the Center Building, 2nd Floor, to de-stress from studying and relax with us. Enjoy cultural hospitality with tea, coffee, crafts, coloring, aromatherapy, and the prize wheel of fortune.

March 4: Learn about Lane’s Board of Education with your Student Government Association senators! Free sandwiches and a run down of the agenda. Stop on by from 5:30 - 7:00 PM in Haugland Commons on the second floor of Center!
March 7: LCC Dental Clinic is hosting a free clinic for kids. Services provided may include: evaluations, sealants, preventative dentistry, fluoride, x-rays, and more.
March 13: Join the GSA for a whimsical Communi-TEA Party filled with crafts, creativity, and community. Costumes are encouraged—come connect with other students and enjoy a fun, fairy-themed hour together from 12:00-1:00 PM in the GEC.
March 19: Art Gallery A Closing Reception and Artist Talk for both shows will be held at the gallery on from 4:00 - 6:00 PM.

- withdrawing from a class?
- changing your grading method?
If so, Friday, Feb 27 is the last day to do it.
*Remember! These decisions can impact your Financial Aid, so always check with Advising or Financial Aid first.*
Coming Up: Sunday, March 15 at 11:59 p.m.: Deadline to pay off your winter term bill.
If you haven’t already paid your balance, make sure to pay by Sunday, March 15 so you aren’t dropped from next term’s courses.

Apply for LCC Foundation Scholarships – One Week Left!
The time is now to apply for an LCC Foundation Scholarship. With just one simple application, you can connect to hundreds of scholarship opportunities available specifically to LCC students. All students who plan to attend LCC during the 2026–27 academic year are encouraged to apply. The deadline is March 3, so don’t wait—there’s only one week left!
Want to make your application stand out? Writing tutors are ready to help you craft a strong personal essay. They can help you connect your experiences to the prompt, polish your writing, and proofread your work before submission.
You can schedule a session with a writing tutor or stop by the STEM Zone front desk (Building 16, Room 193) to get connected.

Recreation Opportunities for LCC Students
The Health and Physical Education Department is excited to share several recreation opportunities available to students currently enrolled in courses—both on campus and in the community.
Students can take advantage of drop-in recreation at the LCC gym, open Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM and Fridays from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM. Pickleball can also be set up upon request.
LCC has also partnered with local recreation providers to expand opportunities. Students can receive one free day pass to Willamalane Parks & Recreation by stopping by the Recreation Office (Building 5, Room 204) and showing a current student ID. Additionally, students can climb for free at Elevation Bouldering Gym on Lincoln St. in Eugene by presenting proof of enrollment, signing the waiver, and completing the orientation. Additional visits may be purchased.

2026 Faculty Commencement Speaker Nominations
We are seeking your nominations for the 2026 Commencement Faculty Speaker! Faculty members include instructors, career counselors, mental health counselors, librarians, multicultural center coordinators, gender equity center coordinators, instructional designers, health clinic nurses, coaches, and athletic trainers. Please consider faculty members from your time at Lane who demonstrated alignment with the College's values of learning, diversity, innovation, collaboration and partnership, integrity, accessibility, and sustainability. Nominees will be notified and given the opportunity to accept or decline the nomination. A selection committee made up of students, previous faculty speakers, deans, and administration will score and select the finalist. Please submit your nomination by Friday, March 20 at 5:00 PM.

Notice & Comment: Privacy Policy– Feedback Due March 12th
Your voice matters. The College is reviewing and updating the Privacy policy, which helps shape the student experience by protects privacy rights of its employees and students.
Students are encouraged to review the current policy in the policy/procedure library (COPPS) along with the proposed updates linked in the feedback form. This is an opportunity to share your perspective and help guide decisions that affect students across campus.
Feedback is due by March 12th. We value student input and encourage you to participate in the review process.

Do you have a concern about a class?
If you have a concern about a course your are taking, please talk with your instructor if you feel comfortable doing so. If not, please consider filling out a class concern form. Common class concerns can include: not posting grades in a timely manner, unexpected changes in class modality/delivery, unreasonable changes to the syllabus, and grade penalties for academic misconduct without the opportunity to explain.
