Track and Baseball Team Updates
On Saturday, the Lane Titans track and field team hosted their one and only home meet of the season. Athletes from Division 1 schools (Oregon St. and Portland St.), NWAC schools and running clubs competed in the running and field events.
This week on Wednesday, March 18, the Lane Titans (14-6 overall, 7-3 South) baseball team will take on the Umpqua Riverhawks (12-4 overall, 8-2 South), who are currently in first place in the NWAC Southern Region. First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 PM.

Agent of Change Screening
Tomorrow, from 4:00-6:00 PM on the second floor of Center Building, the Coalition of Student Organizations is a representative body of all Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) at Lane Community College. Members participate in all decision-making and event planning, provide peer support for starting and maintaining RSOs, and encourage an active club presence on campus.
This end of the term meeting features a documentary of student organizing, rights, and resources. Learn more on how to get involved and grab some popcorn while you are at it.

LCC Art Gallery Closing Reception
A Closing Reception for the Art Gallery on the Transformation by Carrie O’Coyle, Carrie O’Coyle and Teresa Meier created a series of paintings inspired by emotional knots of life made of the thread that connects us all. Collective Inventions by Teresa Meier features autobiographical self-portraits of the artist, where the surreal intertwines with the personal to create a captivating exploration of identity.
s will be held at the gallery on Thursday, March 19th from 4:00 - 6:00 PM.

We are seeking your nominations for the 2026 Commencement Faculty Speaker! Faculty members include instructors, career counselors, mental health counselors, librarians, multicultural center coordinators, gender equity center coordinators, instructional designers, health clinic nurses, coaches, and athletic trainers. Do you enjoy creating videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts? Lane’s Marketing Team is hiring a creative student worker to produce short-form, vertical videos for social media. In this Federal Work Study role, you’ll build your editing skills, learn digital communications and accessibility best practices, and bring your authentic student voice to campus content.
Students should have experience with video editing tools such as CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, or similar, along with an ability to meet deadlines. Experience creating short-form content is required, and being comfortable filming or appearing on camera is a plus (but not required). This position offers 6–8 flexible hours per week and a great opportunity to build your portfolio. Apply today!

Week 11 Tips - Finals Support
You’re So Close!
Finals week is here. You got this! Here are some tips to help you through:
- It’s not too late for tutoring. Meet in person or online to review for the final.
- Get enough sleep, drink plenty of water, and eat good food. If you’re facing food insecurity, the Titan Pantry is open to all Lane students.
- Find a quiet study space in the library. Buildings 10, 16, and 30 also have great little study nooks.
- Avoid distractions. Turn off your phone and set your computer to a calming music playlist.
- Practice self-compassion and self-care. The Mental Health and Wellness Center has tips, the Zen Den, and free counseling.
Grades Viewable Next Week
Generally speaking, your final course grades are viewable after 5 p.m. the Wednesday after the term ends. To view your grades, login to myLane, select the "myEnrollment" tab, then “Student Academic Records and Transcripts.”
Remember, you’re awesome and you’ll get a nice break after finals!

STEM Learning Zone & Tutoring Hours: Finals Week
Tutoring locations will be open through March 18th for in-person and online support, however, STEM Learning Zone (16/193) hours will be modified for the week.
Finals Week Hours:
Monday: 9am-4:30pm (Tutoring available)
Tuesday: 9am-4:30pm (Tutoring available)
Wednesday: 9am-1pm (Tutoring available)
Thursday: 9am-1pm (No tutoring, open for equipment return & independent study)
Friday: 9am-1pm ((No tutoring, open for equipment return & independent study)
All tutoring services will reopen March 30th for Spring Term. Happy finals week!

Recreation Offerings For LCC Students
The Health and Physical Education Department is happy to share that Lane is expanding off-campus recreation opportunities for students currently enrolled in courses.
Students can receive one free day pass to Willamalane Parks and Recreation
by visiting the Recreation Office (Building 5, Room 204) and showing a current Student ID. Additional passes are available for purchase. Also, students can also climb for free at Elevation Bouldering Gym on Lincoln Street in Eugene, with one free pass per day. Simply show your Student ID, complete a waiver, and participate in a brief orientation.

Free Narcan in the Student Health and Wellness Center
You can save a life! Free Narcan is available to students in the Student Health and Wellness Center (SHWC). Narcan is a medication, naloxone in nasal spray form, that reverses an opioid overdose and can save a life. It is safe, effective, and easy to use. Come get it in the SHWC lobby while supplies last!

Spring Cleaning for the Titan Food Pantry and Closet
The Titan Food Pantry and Closet is doing a spring cleaning, making this the last opportunity this term to pick up clothing items before the closet is refreshed for next term.
Stop by to not one but TWO supplemental food baskets and browse available clothing while supplies last. The pantry is open Monday through Thursday from 10:00 - 3:00 PM and Friday from 10:00 -2:00 PM.

Notice and Comment: Student Government Policy
The Student Success Council has reviewed and updated the existing COPPS policy for Student Government and is recommending a draft for consideration. Please provide all feedback on the attached form; feedback is due by April 3.
Please note: this form is not anonymous, and the feedback you provide may be discussed by the council at a public meeting. Both the form and the doc are accessible when logged into an LCC google account.

Do you have a concern about a class?
If you have a concern about a course your are taking, please talk with your instructor if you feel comfortable doing so. If not, please consider filling out a class concern form. Common class concerns can include: not posting grades in a timely manner, unexpected changes in class modality/delivery, unreasonable changes to the syllabus, and grade penalties for academic misconduct without the opportunity to explain.
