Celebrate Earth Week at LCC
April 20-24: Celebrate Earth Week at LCC with a variety of free, hands-on activities designed to connect you with nature and each other! Most of these activities are student-led. Plenty of opportunities to win prizes throughout the week!

Longhouse Class of 2026 Social
April 22: Join us for the Native American and Indigenous Success Social. All are welcome for fun and celebrations at the Longhouse to support graduating students, on April 22, 1:00 - 3:00 PM. We'll also have a quiet space in the Conference Room for lightning mock interviews and then music in the Great Room with a side of cake and refreshments. Brought to you by the Native American Student Association (NASA).

Interactive pop-up workshop on posture and movement
April 23: Improve your neck, back and overall spine health by joining Lane Physical Therapist Assisting (PTA) students for a FREE interactive pop-up workshop on posture and movement! Get hands-on posture assessments, informed guidance, and simple lifestyle tips to keep your body aligned and feeling great. Starts April 23rd, 10:00 - 2:00 PM in Haugland Commons CEN 203 Get: Personalized posture measurements; Easy movement strategies for daily life; Practical wellness tips to reduce strain and discomfort. This is opportunity to invest in your well-being!

Take a break from your busy day
April 23: Asian and Pacific Islander Multicultural Student Union (APISU) invites you to the Spring Relaxation Station on April 23, from 9:30 - 3:00 PM. Join us on the 2nd floor of the Center Building to unwind, have fun, plus taking a break from your busy day. Enjoy crafts, create your own scented lotion and hand sanitizer. Lots of prizes and helpful resources as you learn more about APISU.

Tutoring
Now that you’ve settled into the term, are you feeling stressed about homework and studying?
Don’t worry! Lane has skilled, friendly tutors to help you in 50+ subjects. Tutoring is always free and available online or in-person. And the Library can help you with research and more.

Lane Will Use Canvas Starting Fall 2026
Lane Community College will continue using Moodle through Summer 2026, and Canvas will become the college’s main learning platform in Fall 2026. Updates, timelines, and help information will be shared on the Canvas Transition website, with additional student support and information provided leading up to the start of Fall 2026 term.

Free Cooking Workshop
In partnership with Food for Lane County, the Career Pathways department is offering a free Cooking Workshop May 20 from 3-5 PM for OHP (Trillium) members! Learn to prepare delicious nutritious meals on a budget and take home free ingredient kits.

Free Narcan in the Student Health and Wellness Center
Save a life! Free Narcan is available to students in the Student Health and Wellness Center (SHWC) in Building 18, Room 101. Narcan is a medication, naloxone in nasal spray form, that can save a life by reversing an opioid overdose. It is safe, effective, and easy to use. Get it in the SHWC lobby before end of April!

Get Active This Term
Stay active this term with expanded recreation opportunities at LCC! Drop in for students open weightlifting on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9:00 –10:00 AM. Gym open for casual play Monday through Friday from 10:00–11:00 AM, and pickleball available by request on Fridays 10:00 AM –12:00 PM. Stop by Building 5, Room 204 to learn more.
While you’re there, don’t forget to pick up free recreation passes for Willamalane, Elevation Bouldering Gym, or ticket vouchers for a Eugene Emeralds game.
In Titan Athletics, Lane Titans track & field team were at Lewis & Clark College for the Larry Byerly Invitational over the weekend, and personal bests included by first place finishes from Kekoa Williams (men’s high jump), Kyle Hughes and Izzy Abrahams (pole vault). Williams cleared 6 feet, 11 inches in the high jump while Hughes and Abrahams cleared 15’ 10.5” and 12’ 9.5”, respectively, in the men’s and women’s pole vault.
The Lane baseball team has won 6 games in a row entering a 4-game series vs. Chemeketa Storm on Wednesday, April 22.

Do you have a concern about a class?
Do you have a concern about a course your are taking? Please talk with your instructor, and if you don't feel comfortable talking, fill out a class concern form. Common class concerns can include: Not posting grades in a timely manner, unexpected changes in class modality/delivery, unreasonable changes to the syllabus, and grade penalties for academic misconduct without the opportunity to explain.
