Budget Committee Meeting on Wednesday- Say No to Tuition Increase
Lane Student Government Association (SGA) had previously successfully advocated for you on a 1.2% tuition increase (vs the proposed 3.6%), which was agreed to by the Lane Community College Board of Education on 3/4/2026 during their public meeting. Since then, members of the Board and Budget Committee have said multiple times they want to go back on their decision.
What this means for you: Your tuition will go up. Higher than we already advocated for.
Today, May 19, come find our walk-around cart traveling to various buildings on Lane's campus. We'll have free goodies and information on how you can get involved in advocating to keep tuition rates at that 1.2% promise.
Tell the Budget Committee no. Come to Building 3 at 4:45 PM to sign up for public comment and tell them no. If you can not make it sign this petition to hold the board accountable to their decision. Answer one question to make your voice heard.
