Tell LCC about your student experience

LCC is deeply invested in ensuring that our students have a voice in the experiences they have while attending the College. The sessions will be held for no longer than one hour and will be available both in person and through Zoom.

SGA meetings are Wednesdays, 4 pm

LCC's student government is the Student Government Association. Meetings are open to the public on Wednesdays, 4 pm, at Center Building 308. SGA meetings can be an opportunity to tell student leaders about the student experience as well as ways to get involved with important student issues.

Student improv performs audience's secrets

Come see The Show Don't Tell Improv Show, presented by The Student Production Association. Reveal your best secret to LCC’s skillful crew of improvisers, and watch them weave together a delightful and liberating performance out of your anonymously shared secrets. The Show Don’t Tell Improv Show will take place on Friday, November 18, 4 pm and Saturday, November 19, 7:30 p.m. at the Blue Door Theater on Lane’s campus. Admission is free for all LCC students and “pay what you can (or can’t)” for general admission. For more information, contact Head of Theatre Brian Haimbach at haimbachb@lanecc.edu or 541-463-5648.

Submit Script for "Winter Shorts!"

The Student Production Association is looking for plays for its annual short-play festival, “Winter Shorts!” Submit your completed scripts (preferred), play outlines, or ideas for plays by November 28 to spa@my.lanecc.edu. Include your phone number and let us know if you are an LCC student. Submissions should be 8-15 minutes in length in performance, require no more than three actors, and require minimal technical considerations for production. Auditions for Winter Shorts will be January 11 and 12 from 5-8 pm, and performances will be February 16-19--all in the Blue Door Theater on Lane’s Campus. For more information, contact Head of Theatre Brian Haimbach at haimbachb@lanecc.edu or 541-463-5648.

What to know before working with a tutor

Tutors are happy to help support you in the Lane Support Hub Zoom Room and on campus! Please visit our tutoring site to get the most accurate, up-to-date information. Here is what’s at the top of the list to know prior to meeting with a tutor:
  • We understand that seeking out tutoring can feel overwhelming or intimidating to some folks, which is why we want to let you know that tutoring sessions are simply casual, friendly conversations aimed towards supporting student needs. In other words, we want to help!
  • Tutors are not experts in the disciplines they tutor; they are simply experienced in the overall discipline and try to support your learning.
  • Please bring with you, and be prepared to go over, any assignment descriptions provided by the instructor. Assignment descriptions give the tutor context about the class, assignment, and instructor expectations, which helps us better guide you.
Lane Support Hub looks forward to working with you!
