The College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS) at Oregon State University is pleased to announce the availability of paid summer research internships in Ocean Sciences and marine applications of biology, chemistry, geology, physics, and allied fields.
Funded by the National Science Foundation, the Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program offers students the unique opportunity to work on individual research projects, and participate in group field trips, seminars and science colloquia over a nine-week period at CEOAS under the guidance of university scientists, who serve as mentors. The summer REU program runs from June 17 to August 17, 2024. Successful applicants receive travel funding to Corvallis, on-campus housing for the duration of the internship, a meals allowance, and a generous weekly stipend.
We seek applications from community college students with interests in the ocean sciences and marine applications of other fields who are planning to transfer to a four-year college or university. Prior research experience is not required.
