Finding Courses
When users first arrive at their Moodle site, they are viewing the front page. Site administrators can control the information that displays on the front page, both before and after users log in. Therefore, the information that displays in the middle of the screen varies depending on its setup. It may display news items, a list of courses, a list of course categories, a combo list, or none of these. If courses are listed in the middle of the screen, then users can click on the titles to access them. Users can also search for courses by entering its name into the Search courses field. Any courses the user is enrolled into can be visited by opening My Courses.
The way the site looks will vary based on the theme the site is using. We'll take a look at each to get you started.
Boost
The Moodle Boost theme provides users with a Nav drawer. It replaces the previously used Navigation block. This drawer can be open and closed by using the Expand/Close icon. The Nav drawer provides users with links to access their Dashboard, site home (this is set by the site administrator), site pages (e.g., calendar), and My Courses with links to access any courses they are assigned.
