Learning Activites

Now that you are becoming acclimated to your new surroundings, let's take a closer look at course learning activities. Your teachers will create learning activities in Moodle by using two types of modules: resources and activities. The modules display either as a card or link, depending on your site's theme.

A resource is a piece of information that a teacher provides to you. It may be a link to a file, URL, repository items, or constructed web pages. In general, resources are not graded and don't require you to submit anything. You should view them though as they are typically tracked for completion by your teacher. They display as links or cards on the front page and can be accessed by clicking on those links.

Unlike a resource, an activity requires student interaction. Activities are also different from resources in that they can be graded. Activities also display as links on the front page of a course and can be accessed by clicking on their links.
