Although Moodle is fully responsive and accessible using a web browser across any device, the app allows users to complete vital tasks just as if they were interacting with their Moodle classes on a desktop.

If enabled for use on your site, the Moodle Mobile App allows you to:

  • Browse the content of your courses, even when offline
  • Receive instant notifications of messages and other events
  • Quickly find and contact other people in your courses
  • Upload images, audio, videos and other files from your mobile device
  • Track your progress, mark tasks as complete and browse your learning plans
  • Attempt quizzes, post in forums, and edit wiki pages
  • View your course grades

To download the Moodle app, complete the following steps:

  1. On your smartphone, go to your app store: Google Play or Apple iTunes.
  2. Download the Moodle app to your device.
  3. Wait for the application on your device to complete the installation. 
  4. Open the app, and enter the information for the site you want to access. 
  5. Enter your username and password (the same information you used to access the site from your computer).
