It’s finally Job Fair week! Thur., May 16, 1:00-4:00 PM in Building 19, Room 100 (lobby). Students and community members can connect with local and regional employers who are hiring for full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions.
Tip: Dress professionally, bring copies of your resume, bring your list of questions, and practice your “elevator pitch” (your 15-second introduction).

MECHA de LCC is proud to host the first Latinx Graduation Ceremony called ¡Celebramos! The event is scheduled tentatively for Sat., June 1, from 5:30 - 8:00 PM with a Dance following the Ceremony. MECHA de LCC will purchase for you a Lane graduation gown, cap, tassel and a Latinx graduation stole. Please RSVP by Fri., May 17. LCC is providing FREE graduation photo shoot for graduates! Getting excited about graduation? Looking for a way to save the moment, the memory, and share the excitement with your family? As if the fun stops there! The Library is partnering with Lane Student Government Association to host a FREE gradation cap decorating event! Library and KLCC- tomorrow, Wed., May 15 from 11:00-1:00 PM at the Library "Amplify America" wants to know what concerns you have about the upcoming elections, and "Vote Your Major" asks you to connect your course of study to election issues.
Fri., MAY 17 1:00 at the MCC, Building 1 room 206, Chabot College's president Dr. Jamal Cooks will speak with students about AI, there will be FREE refreshments provided!
May is Mental Health Month! Join the Mental Health and Wellness Center outside the Center Building on Tues., May 21 and Wed., May 22 from 12:00 - 2:00 PM to create your personalized self soothing kit. Self soothing kits are a great way to practice putting mental health moments throughout your day.
Gender Equity Center- GEC is here for you, with Wednesday walks, Tuesday transitions (learn methods to navigate and manage changes in your life), and Thursday Women's Self Care group.
They/Them Pride! In celebration of trans pride, at the Library there will be books by transgender and nonbinary writers, including poetry, memoir, fiction, and more, are on display through May.

Do you have a concern about a class? If you have a concern about a course your are taking, please talk with your instructor if you feel comfortable doing so. If not, please consider filling out a class concern form. Common class concerns can include: not posting grades in a timely manner, unexpected changes in class modality/delivery, unreasonable changes to the syllabus, and grade penalties for academic misconduct without the opportunity to explain.
The Presidential Ai Taskforce is excited to invite all students to participate in a series of discussion groups focused on Artificial Intelligence. Whether you're deeply involved with AI or haven't engaged with this technology yet, your perspective is vital. These discussions will help us understand a broad range of experiences and views as we explore the impacts and opportunities of AI technology at Lane Community College. If you are interested in being a part of the conversation fill out this form by tomorrow Wed., May 15 to sign-up for a discussion group.
Common Read: Read an amazing book lately? The Common Read at Lane program will launch Fall 2024 and host a series of discussion circles and activities for the LCC campus community around a single book during the 2024-2025 academic year. The chosen book will be provided for free (while supplies last), and events will be open to all students and LCC employees. Suggestions for next year's Common Read are being accepted through Wed., May 22.
