Free grad cap decorating now until 1:00 PM |

Today the Library is partnering with Lane Student Government Association to host a FREE gradation cap decorating event from 10:00 - 1:00 pm in the Center Building Atrium. Don't forget to buy your regalia now! If you need assistance please contact commencement@lanecc.edu. -Can't make it?- check out the Maker Space in the Library starting Mon., Jun. 3 - Fri., Jun. 14 for more supplies and support.
Center for Accessible Resources (CAR) invite students who are participating in Commencement with disabilities to wear a cord to recognize their accomplishments. Students can complete this brief form and then pick up their cord from CAR (19/263A) during finals week.

Tomorrow, Emergency drill in and around building 19 |

Law Enforcement Crisis Negotiation Drill- Lane County Sheriff’s Office, Springfield Police, and LCC Public Safety will be conducting a drill on Wed., May 29 in and around Building 15 from 7:30am to 4:30pm. Building 15 will be locked down for the entirety of the drill and will be used solely for the training. There will be no live fire, simulated ammunition, or sirens used in any of the scenarios. There will be no loud hailing (loudspeaker usage). Every effort will be made to keep the integrity of the learning environment intact. There will be uniformed and plain clothes Law Enforcement Officers on campus for the drill. Are you a parent of a child under 18? We are inviting you to a focus group on Wed., May 29 on the main campus at 3:30- 4:30 PM. The purpose of this group is to hear your voice about what you think parent students need on campus in order to be successful. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. They/Them Pride! In celebration of trans pride, at the Library there will be books by transgender and nonbinary writers, including poetry, memoir, fiction, and more, are on display through May.
The LCC Alen Bahret Fitness Center will be available (at no charge) during the summer hours: 11:00-1:00 PM M-Th. Grab a friend and come get a midday workout in. Do you have a concern about a class? If you have a concern about a course your are taking, please talk with your instructor if you feel comfortable doing so. If not, please consider filling out a class concern form. Common class concerns can include: not posting grades in a timely manner, unexpected changes in class modality/delivery, unreasonable changes to the syllabus, and grade penalties for academic misconduct without the opportunity to explain
The Oregon Student Association (OSA), Disability Rights Oregon (DRO), and the Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HECC) are conducting a statewide survey to understand the experiences of disabled students in Oregon’s higher education institutions. Your participation is crucial in helping them gather insights to improve accessibility and inclusivity. The survey will be open until Tues., June 28 and the survey questions seek to gather valuable insights into the effectiveness of disability accommodations, the accessibility of campus environments, and the overall campus climate for individuals with disabilities. Responses are anonymous.
