Join us today for a free student luncheon to share your feedback on sustainability at LCC! Learn about our Climate Action Plan, discuss your climate priorities, and help shape a greener future. Join us Tues., March 11, from 1:00 - 2:00 PM in Center Building, Room 202. 

 

Today, prep for Finals and join the STUDY JAM at the Library! The Library, Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) and Student Government Association will be hosting a Study Jam with free pizza, drinks and snacks will be available at from 3:00 - 5:00 PM. Get tutoring and advising help, pet a therapy dog, and learn yoga relaxation techniques. All LCC students are welcome!

$15 Flu shots now until March 25!

Did you know vaccines have been attributed with saving at least 154 million lives globally in the last 50 years? Make sure your vaccinations are up to date with a visit to the Health Clinic. You can talk with a provider to make sure you are protected against infections like pertussis (whooping cough), flu, and measles, all of which are public health concerns today, either locally or in the US.
From now until March 25, flu shots are $15 at the Health Clinic. Call 541-463-5665 to make an appointment.

Pi Day 2025 Come to the STEM Zone Friday, March 14th, for a Pi Day celebration! There will be pie, pi-shaped cookies, and pi trivia! We will be open as usual for tutoring, and all students are welcome to participate.

Mar. 12: 12:00 - 1:30 PM, "GRWM: GET READY TO WELCOME THE MAGIC...of Selfcare!" with our ISLANDS OF WELLNESS---aromatherapy station, art-with-heart spot, guided mindfulness circle, and more; Tue., Mar. 12 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM, "Film and Feastables" movie night. This pre-finals support is happily sponsored by your fellow students and campus friends at Asian and Pacific Islander Student Union (APISU).

Mar.17: The Student Production Association is offering, for FREE "Stage Combat Workshop" to all LCC student.  Come learn the essentials actors are most likely to encounter on stage, introducing the skills needed to perform some of the basic falls, hits, slaps, grabs, shoves, good partnering, and more, both safely and with dramatic effect. Come prepared to move! Instructor Kevin Inouye is a Certified Teacher with the Society of American Fight Directors and an award-winning fight choreographer and coordinator for both stage and screen. Apr. 11: Student elections are now open, and the candidate application form is available NOW until April 11. To apply, you must verify your eligibility and meet with the Director of Student Life and Leadership. Mandatory candidate orientation will take place from April 14 to April 18, and campaigning will be open from April 21 to May 3. To be eligible to vote, students must be enrolled in a credit class on the main campus and have paid the mandatory student activity fee. Election results will be announced on May 6 through Titan Times.

May 3: Sneaker Ball 2025: A Tribute to Black Designers in Sneaker Culture: Join Black Student Union and Lane Student Government Association for an unforgettable evening at the Sneaker Ball from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Lane Community College Main Campus (Centre Building Atrium). We're celebrating the legacy of African American and Black designers who have shaped the evolution of sneakers and streetwear fashion. RSVP here!

May 12: you can register for up to four terms at once, allowing you to secure your schedule for the full academic year. Meeting with an advisor ensures your courses align with your academic goals, so be sure to schedule a time to plan ahead. Registering for a full year at once helps you stay on track by securing the classes you need, saving time and money, and reducing stress by balancing school, work, and life. The process is simple with Navigate, making it easy to register early. Priority registration begins May 5, 2025, for veteran, CAR, and credit priority students, with registration continuing in order of credits earned. Don’t miss this opportunity to plan ahead and lock in your schedule!

June 14: Lane Community College’s 60th Annual Commencement Ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM. in the LCC Gymnasium, Building 5. Graduates must RSVP by May 30 at 5:00 PM. and can purchase caps and gowns starting mid-April at the Titan Store or order through Josten’s by May 30. The event will be streamed live, with overflow viewing available in the Center Building. For questions, email commencement@lanecc.edu. Save the date and celebrate this milestone with us!

The LCC Student Government Association and Council of Clubs are organizing the Spring Festival on May 21, 2025. For that occasion, we are looking for a talented student to make caricatures of other students at a booth. This work will be remunerated by the Student Government to support the artist. Also, supplies needed by the artist will be provided by us.

If you haven’t already, make sure to pay by this date so you aren’t dropped from next term’s courses. Can’t make the deadline? Don’t hesitate to contact Student Accounts. They will explore your options with you.

We are seeking your nominations for the 2025 Commencement Faculty Speaker! Please consider faculty members from your time at Lane who demonstrated alignment with the College's values of learning, diversity, innovation, collaboration and partnership, integrity, accessibility, and sustainability. Nominees will be notified and given the opportunity to accept or decline the nomination. A selection committee made up of students, previous faculty speakers, deans, and administration will score and select the finalist. Please submit your nomination by Friday, March 21 at 5:00 PM.

Do you have a concern about a class? If you have a concern about a course your are taking, please talk with your instructor if you feel comfortable doing so. If not, please consider filling out a class concern form. Common class concerns can include: not posting grades in a timely manner, unexpected changes in class modality/delivery, unreasonable changes to the syllabus, and grade penalties for academic misconduct without the opportunity to explain.
