LaneQuest: The Journey of Ty the Titan
Ty the Titan is ready to embark on an exciting educational quest, but he can’t do it alone. Your mission: help Ty conquer his challenges by discovering all the incredible student resources available on campus. Along the way, you'll collect treasures, unlock new opportunities, and compete for your chance to win up to $300 in prizes.
How to Play: Print the PDF of pick up your LaneQuest adventure guide at Building 1 Advising (front desk) or Student Life and Leadership (CEN 201) starting March 31.Or print this pdf. Complete at least 10 challenges by collecting stickers and signatures at designated resource locations. Want to double your chances? Complete all 17 quests to earn two entries into the grand prize drawing. Work solo or as a team, but each adventurer must complete their own quest. Return your completed LaneQuest guide to either pick-up location by April 11 at 1:30 PM to qualify. Treasure Awaits Winners will be announced via student email on April 14.You will have 48 hours to claim your prize before it is passed to the next winner.

Congrats Graduates! We can not wait to celebrate you at the 60th Annual Commencement Ceremony.
Lane Community College is delighted to announce the 2025 commencement ceremony will be held on Saturday, June 14 at 10 a.m. in the LCC Gymnasium, Building 5, Main Campus! We are excited to celebrate your success! The event will be streamed live. Things you should know:
Graduation is the certifying of degrees and certificates. Students who have been awarded their degrees in Summer 2024, Fall 2024, and Winter 2025 will have their names automatically printed in our Commencement program/booklet. Students who have registered for the courses needed to complete their degrees by Spring 2025 will need to apply to graduate by April 27, 2025 to ensure their name gets listed in the program. Students who will be finishing their degrees after Spring 2025 can still participate in the Commencement ceremony but will not meet the criteria to have their name printed in the 2025 program.
RSVP for the ceremony: We ask qualifying graduates to RSVP for the ceremony The deadline for this is May 30th by 5pm. Please include the number of guests that you expect will attend. Tickets will not be required.

Join us for a day of action, visibility, and community as we honor the Day of (NO) Silence and amplify LGBTQIA+ voices at Lane Community College.
Event Schedule:
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM | Maker Space Create buttons, posters, and other protest materials to express your support for LGBTQIA+ visibility and advocacy.
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM | Campus Walk Participate in a mini protest as we walk through campus, making our presence and voices heard.
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM | Gender and Sexuality Equity Center Gather in the GEC for a screening of Are You Proud?, a powerful documentary exploring LGBTQ+ activism and history.
This is a day to break the silence, stand in solidarity, and celebrate the strength of the LGBTQIA+ community. Everyone is welcome!

Apr. 9: African Student Associations invite you to an event dedicated to understanding the current crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Please come from 11:00 - 1:30 PM to learn, eat and support peace-building efforts for the people of Congo in the Haughland Commons, Center second floor. With special thanks to Lane Student Government and the Northwest Collegiate Ministry.
Apr. 11: Student elections are now open, and the candidate application form is available NOW until April 11. To apply, you must verify your eligibility and meet with the Director of Student Life and Leadership. Mandatory candidate orientation will take place from April 14 to April 18, and campaigning will be open from April 21 to May 3. To be eligible to vote, students must be enrolled in a credit class on the main campus and have paid the mandatory student activity fee. Election results will be announced on May 6 through Titan Times.
Apr.15: the GEC is partnering with TransPonder for their annual T.E.A.S. Gender 101 Training. Join is in-person or virtually via Google Meet: https://meet.google.com/hff-mgvb-hxe
Apr. 16: ALL are welcome to this fair that will feature Health Professions employers looking to hire LCC graduates! It will take place April 16th from 10AM-2PM in the center building, second floor lobby area.
Apr. 21: The Gender Equity Center is hosting a listening session! All students are welcome to come to the GEC to talk about the uncertain times for the the LGBTQIA2S+ community. snacks and drinks provided.
May 3: Sneaker Ball 2025: A Tribute to Black Designers in Sneaker Culture: Join Black Student Union and Lane Student Government Association for an unforgettable evening at the Sneaker Ball from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Lane Community College Main Campus (Centre Building Atrium). We're celebrating the legacy of African American and Black designers who have shaped the evolution of sneakers and streetwear fashion. RSVP here!
May 12: you can register for up to four terms at once, allowing you to secure your schedule for the full academic year. Meeting with an advisor ensures your courses align with your academic goals, so be sure to schedule a time to plan ahead. Registering for a full year at once helps you stay on track by securing the classes you need, saving time and money, and reducing stress by balancing school, work, and life. The process is simple with Navigate, making it easy to register early. Priority registration begins May 5, 2025, for veteran, CAR, and credit priority students, with registration continuing in order of credits earned. Don’t miss this opportunity to plan ahead and lock in your schedule!
May 21: Step into a world of magic and wonder at Spring Festival 2025! Join us on May 21 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Bristow Square for a fantasy-themed celebration featuring clubs and organizations from across campus. Enjoy games, prizes, food, and activities—all for free! Whether you're looking to connect with student groups, have fun with friends, or just take a break, this event has something for everyone. APISU: CANOE STORIES, every Wednesday from 2:00 -3:30 PM (Weeks 1-5) on April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30. Multicultural Center 1/206. Come join fellow students and campus community for an open conversation centering the voices of Asian and Pacific Islander cultural stories and lived experiences linking past and present as a window into the future. First Week Attendance and Activity Requirements
Don’t get dropped from your classes! For in-person courses, you must attend the class in the first week. For online courses, you must log in and complete an exercise if there is one.
Important Deadline Reminder - Monday, April 7th 11:59 pm
Next Monday is the last day to drop a current term course and receive a full refund. If you’re using Financial Aid, be sure to check with a financial aid advisor before you drop a class so it doesn’t affect your aid.
Interest-free payment plans are available if your current term bill is $100 or more.
Depending on which plan you choose, the deadline to enroll is either Monday, April 14th or Wednesday, April 30th.

Lane’s Student Self-Service System, ExpressLane/myLane, will be upgraded this spring. This update is designed to provide a more efficient and user-friendly experience for students, faculty, and staff. What’s Changing: The system will retain all the features you currently use, but navigation will be improved to make it easier to access and use. Once the upgrade launches in spring 2025, the system will officially be referred to as myLane. Upgrade Timeline: The upgrade is scheduled to take place on April 21, 2025. Training & Support: Support for navigating the updated system will be available at the SHeD (located in the Library) and Student Services in Building One.
Tutoring is located STEM Learning Zone in Building 16, Rooms 193 and 169! Access tutoring support in any subject, check out calculators, or grab a free snack. Schedule your tutoring appointments through MyWCOnline or by dropping in to the STEM Zone Monday - Friday, 9:00-5:00 PM.

Do you have a concern about a class? If you have a concern about a course your are taking, please talk with your instructor if you feel comfortable doing so. If not, please consider filling out a class concern form. Common class concerns can include: not posting grades in a timely manner, unexpected changes in class modality/delivery, unreasonable changes to the syllabus, and grade penalties for academic misconduct without the opportunity to explain.
