Earth week is happening April 21 - 24, all events are happening from 11:00 - 1:00 PM. Tuesday- Bring those pesky plastics you can’t normally recycle (#2, #4 & #5) and we’ll recycle them! - Back of Bldg. 10. Wednesday - Come garden and enjoy some free food - Learning Garden. Thursday - Get free clothing and support sustainable fashion at our clothing swap - Center Bldg. Haugland Commons

April 23 – Movie Night at the Gender Equity Center
Join us in the Gender Equity Center for a screening of Queen Tut, a comedy-drama and queer coming-of-age film that explores drag nightclubs and the vibrant queer underground scene.
Time: 11:00 - 2:00 PM
Snacks, community, and a celebration of queer stories.

April 25 – Lesbian Celebration Day at the Gender Equity Center
Celebrate lesbian energy with us in a relaxed and creative atmosphere. Activities include:

Bracelet and keychain charm making, Watercolor art station, Lesbian music listening session

All are welcome to participate, connect, and celebrate.

Are you a filmmaker or media artist? The LCC Media Arts Film Festival is this Friday from 12:00 - 5:00 PM. Submit your film for a chance to win a prize! Or join us for the festival in Building 17, Room 307! Reception in Building 18, 2nd Floor beginning at 1:00 PM.

Apr. 24: Join Lane PTA students for a FREE interactive pop-up workshop on posture and movement! Get hands-on posture assessments, informed guidance, and simple lifestyle tips to keep your body aligned and feeling great. Join students that Thursday from 10:00 - 2:00 PM in the Haugland Commons (Center 203).

Apr. 30: Join us for the Student Candidate Debate in Building 19, Room 226, or tune in via Zoom from 3:30 - 4:30 PM to hear directly from the candidates.

May 3: Sneaker Ball 2025: A Tribute to Black Designers in Sneaker Culture: Join Black Student Union and Lane Student Government Association for an unforgettable evening at the Sneaker Ball from 6:00 -10:00 PM at the Lane Community College Main Campus (Centre Building Atrium). We're celebrating the legacy of African American and Black designers who have shaped the evolution of sneakers and streetwear fashion. RSVP here!

May 5: Join us to kick off our week long LCC Pride celebration with a tie-dye party at the Gender Equity Center!

May 6: Join us to paint mini terra cotta pots and take home supplies for propagation in the Gender Equity Center!

May 8: Come to the Gender Equity Center! to practice make up! Pickup a makeup kit, practice along with tutorials, and play bingo to win prizes!

May 9: The LCC Learning Garden is having a fundraising Plant Sale on the Friday before the Mother's Day weekend! Come support the garden and students. Bring home some plants for mom, yourself or a friend! CASH ONLY event. Friday May 9th 10:00 - 1:00 PM. Location: Large Greenhouse behind the Child and Family Center on main campus. 

May 12: you can register for up to four terms at once, allowing you to secure your schedule for the full academic year. Meeting with an advisor ensures your courses align with your academic goals, so be sure to schedule a time to plan ahead. Registering for a full year at once helps you stay on track by securing the classes you need, saving time and money, and reducing stress by balancing school, work, and life. The process is simple with Navigate, making it easy to register early. Priority registration begins May 5, 2025, for veteran, CAR, and credit priority students, with registration continuing in order of credits earned. Don’t miss this opportunity to plan ahead and lock in your schedule!

May 14: This spring, join International Programs for International Night, one of our biggest celebrations of the year! From 5:00 - 7:00 PM, join us in the Ragozzino Performance Hall in Building 6 to enjoy performances by Lane students, try delicious snacks, and learn about the global communities who call Lane home. 

We are also welcoming performers for the event! If you would like to perform a song, dance, poem, or other performance from your culture, please submit an application by Friday, April 25. All students, both domestic and international, are welcome to submit a performance proposal.

May 21: Step into a world of magic and wonder at Spring Festival 2025! Join us on May 21 from 11:00 - 2:00 PM at Bristow Square for a fantasy-themed celebration featuring clubs and organizations from across campus. Enjoy games, prizes, food, and activities—all for free! Whether you're looking to connect with student groups, have fun with friends, or just take a break, this event has something for everyone. Sponsored by the Council of Clubs and Student Government. All students are welcome—don’t miss out on the adventure!

Why choose Dental Assisting? You will be training in orthodontics, pedodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and general dentistry. You will get hands-on lab and clinical experiences and preparation for state and national board exams. You will earn your 1-year certificate designed to get you in the field right away. And all this to say, DA's are in VERY high demand right now!

Plan to Pay Your Term Bill

If you haven’t paid your term bill yet, be sure to do it soon or talk to Student Accounts. Their friendly staff are here to help and can discuss payment options with you.

If your bill isn’t paid by June 15, at 11:59 p.m., you may be dropped from future term courses, so make a plan soon!

Lane’s Student Self-Service System, myLane/ExpressLane, will be upgraded this spring. This update ensures a more efficient and user-friendly experience for students, faculty, and staff.
What’s Changing: ExpressLane/myLane will retain the same features you use today, but the navigation will be improved and will be easier to use.
When the upgrade launches in spring 2025, the system will officially be referred to as myLane.
We currently plan for this upgrade to take place on: April 21, 2025
Training & Support: You can receive support with navigation of the new system from the SHeD, located at the Library, or in Student Services in Building One.

Notice and Comment: Field Trip Policy: May 5th Deadline
The Student Success Council was assigned development of a new COPPS policy for Field Trips, and a draft of that policy is now available for public comment. Please review the recommended policy and provide your feedback using this link. All feedback is due by May 5, 2025.

Do you have a concern about a class? If you have a concern about a course your are taking, please talk with your instructor if you feel comfortable doing so. If not, please consider filling out a class concern form. Common class concerns can include: not posting grades in a timely manner, unexpected changes in class modality/delivery, unreasonable changes to the syllabus, and grade penalties for academic misconduct without the opportunity to explain.
