Spring Term Welcome Week
Monday: Find your class, grab a coffee, and get a prize! Lost? SGA and the LCC campus got you! Stop by the large tent by Building 5 for some help finding your classes and get FREE coffee and snacks from 7:30 – 1:00 PM.
Tuesday: Discover some of the must haves on campus! Inside the Gym Lobby get food, freebies and info galore (bus pass, legal services, student ID and more) from 10:00 – 1:00 PM.

Thursday, Longhouse Open House!
Stop on by the Longhouse, on Aril 2, from 2:30 - 4:00 PM to experience a guided tour, enjoy some social time, find quiet spaces, and engage with folks. Everyone is invited to experience the joys of this space. For any questions please contact Longhouse@lanecc.edu.

Welcome to the Tip of the Week Email Newsletter, where you get quick, easy tips to help you succeed at Lane. We hope you are having a happy and restful break. Read on to learn what you can do to ease into the new term!
Tips for Week Zero - Pre-Start-of-Term Week
Here’s a few things to do before the term begins:
1. Know Your Schedule
Log into your myLane account to check your schedule. Write down or put the following into your calendar for each of your courses:

Course title
-
Instructor name & email
-
CRN (Course Reference Number)
-
Class meeting days & times
-
Class modality (in-person, hybrid, online)

Class location (find your way on our digital map
2. Log into your Moodle account, where you’ll find course materials and resources for your online classes.
Do you have what you need?
- Need school supplies but short on cash? There are free school supplies like pens, paper, binders, and notecards on a shelf just outside of the Student Life and Leadership Office in Center Building, 2nd floor.
- Need transportation? If you’ve paid the transportation fee, you can apply for a free bus pass for the term.
- Need other help? Connect with a College Achievement Coach for friendly, personal guidance–Building 1, (541) 463-3100, collegeachievementcoaches@lanecc.edu.

Do you have a concern about a class?
If you have a concern about a course your are taking, please talk with your instructor if you feel comfortable doing so. If not, please consider filling out a class concern form. Common class concerns can include: not posting grades in a timely manner, unexpected changes in class modality/delivery, unreasonable changes to the syllabus, and grade penalties for academic misconduct without the opportunity to explain.
