Today, Spring Term Welcome Week
Find your class, grab a coffee, and get a prize! Lost? SGA and the LCC campus got you! Stop by the large tent by Building 5 for some help finding your classes and get FREE coffee and snacks from 7:30 – 1:00 PM. Also, from 10:00 - 1:00 PM discover some of the must haves on campus! Inside the Gym Lobby get food, freebies ($10 food vouchers while supplies last) and info galore (bus pass, legal services, student ID and more). SGA is also requesting you to tell them what they can do for you through this survey!

Opening reception for LCC Art Gallery
The Lane Community College Art Gallery will be hosting an Opening Reception on April 2 from 3:00 - 5:00 PM. They are proud to present tender shoots, bare legs, a group exhibition showcasing the diverse creative practices of Arts Division instructional specialists and art techs, tender shoots, bare legs features the art of Emily Bolivar, Cole Brown, Kaylin Ivy, Erin Langley, and Brandi Marlett. This exhibition showcases various mediums, such as photography, collage, and painting. Stop by and see the display through April 28.

Come support the Titans this week as the baseball team takes on the Clark Penguins in a four-game home series!

First Week Attendance and Activity Requirements
Don’t get dropped from your classes!

For in-person courses, you must attend the class in the first week.

For online courses, you must log in and complete an exercise if there is one.
Important Deadline Reminder - Monday, April 6, 11:59 pm
Next Monday is the last day to drop a current term course and receive a full refund. If you’re using Financial Aid, be sure to check with a financial aid advisor before you drop a class so it doesn’t affect your aid.
Interest-free payment plans are available if your current term bill is $100 or more.
Depending on which plan you choose, the deadline to enroll is either April 30.

Borrow a Bike for FREE!
Did you know LCC offers a FREE bike loan program to students? All students enrolled in credit classes, or taking ESL, ABSE, or GED classes are invited to participate. The bicycles come with a lock, lights and a helmet and must be returned at the end of the term with all of the accessories.

Free Recreation Hours
Recreation has expanded to include an open weightlifting hour! Students can drop in and use the weight room Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00–10:00 AM.
The gym is also open for students who want to shoot around or stay active. Open gym hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00–11:00 AM. Interested in pickleball? The gym is available by request on Fridays from 10:00–12:00 PM. Stop by Building 5 Room 204 and learn more about all that recreation as to offer!

National Poetry Month in the Library for April
The Library has a lot going on during April. For National Poetry Month, visit our selection of new poetry books, and get inspiration for your own wordsmithing. Are you a poet? Snag your very own Poetic License at the display.
In honor of Earth Day—and our favorite planet—we've gathered an awesome display for gardeners with (and without) a green thumb. Improve your soil, grow fruit, flowers, and vegetables in containers or on your backyard farm! Visit our first ever "seed library" in mid-April and snag some seeds to get started.

Tutoring & STEM Learning Zone Hours
Tutoring is free to all LCC students! The main tutoring hub on campus is the STEM Learning Zone in Building 16, Rooms 193 and 169! You can access tutoring support in a variety of subjects, check out calculators, or grab a free snack. You can also visit us online (lanecc.edu/hub) or in our other centers. Locations and hours are listed on our website: lanecc.edu/tutor
You can schedule tutoring appointments ahead of time through the 'Make an Appointment' button on our website or by dropping in to the STEM Learning Zone Monday through Thursday 9am-4:30pm, Fridays 9am-1pm. See you there!

Do you have a concern about a class?
If you have a concern about a course your are taking, please talk with your instructor if you feel comfortable doing so. If not, please consider filling out a class concern form. Common class concerns can include: not posting grades in a timely manner, unexpected changes in class modality/delivery, unreasonable changes to the syllabus, and grade penalties for academic misconduct without the opportunity to explain.
