Hello Instructors,
Just a friendly reminder that our Moodle host will be performing a scheduled Moodle upgrade on Thursday, July 11th from 12:30am to approximately 6:30am (PST). During this update, classes.lanecc.edu will be unreachable, intermittent and or slow to respond. The upgrade to Moodle v3.6.3 adds a few new features and user interface enhancements along with a list of bug fixes and stability improvements.

New Messaging Interface: New visual enhancements and features bring greater control over who can message you along with the ability to star messages and engage in group messaging.

New User Tours: You may notice a new help tour when navigating to the gradebook. This tour is just one of many that we’ve constructed to help orient users to different moodle features. Hint: You can revisit a tour by going to the bottom of the moodle page and clicking on the “Reset user tour on this page” link.

Easily Find Duplicated Items: As with courses, duplicated resources are now appended with 'copy' so you can easily distinguish between the original and copy when you are duplicating course content. Note: This feature does not automatically mark duplicate content when using import or restore functions.

Clean and More Themes Removed
For those instructors that have not migrated, support for those themes has been removed by our hosting provider. Any courses using the expired themes will automatically default to using the Boost theme.
Fall Term is Within Sight
We’ll be creating fall 2019 courses in Moodle on August 19th. If you need help with development shells, course design, settings, course migration, Meta course requests, etc., please contact us in the ATC (atc@lanecc.edu).
