Student Affairs will be hosting a drop-in advising and registration event in the Academic Advising Center. 
 
Academic Advisors and student services representatives will be on hand to help students in anyway they need--NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY.

LCC Acting Showcase

Come see what the Acting students have been up to! 
 
This term will feature scenes and monologues from plays written by Samule Beckett, Jean-Paul Sartre, Anton Chekhov, Steven Dietz, Diana Son, Yasmina Reza, and Shakespeare from Acting 2, 3, Intermediate Acting and Acting Shakespeare.

Winter Break is a great time for students to work on their 2023-24 scholarship applications.

All "Snacks and Scholarships" workshops will be held in Building 2, Room 211 (computer lab).

LANE SUPPORT HUB (A Zoom Room to connect with tutors, SHED, Career Pathways/STEP programs) - If our hours don't work for you or need help in a subject we don't cover, you can visit the eTutoring Consortium for Online E-tutoring. You will be able to meet with a tutor from one of several regional colleges for group study sessions.

Mental Health Tip: Have you heard about Kognito?

Have you been feeling depressed or anxious? Would you like to learn skills that will help increase mindfulness as well as reducing anxiety and negative thinking patterns? 

Kognito is an online interactive training simulation that helps build awareness, education, and skills regarding mental health and suicide prevention. 

It is free for students and can be accessed through the Lane Community College website or through the link provided: lanecc.kognito.com

  • New users will need to create an account.  Returning users can enter their login credentials.
  • New users will have to agree to the “Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy” to complete registration.
  • After registration is completed, users will need to login with their credentials and answer some survey questions then users will have access to the simulations.

Meetings are open to the public on Wednesdays, 4:00 p.m., at Center Building 308.  
 
SGA meetings can be an opportunity to tell student leaders about the student experience and get involved with important student issues.

Rainy Day Food Pantry Update

We are open today!
 
Please proceed with the following steps to order food each week:
  1. fill out the Rainy Day Pantry Food Box Order form at least one day in advance so that we can assemble your order before you arrive. 
  2. You must be logged into your student email account to access the form. 
  3. The order form allows you to customize your food box each week.
  4. Pick it up on Tuesday between 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. 
  5. You will find us on Lane's Main Campus on 30th Ave, Center Building, Room 153.
  6. If you need accommodations or have questions, email foodpantry@lanecc.edu.

Note: Same day orders and walk-ins will be served on a supply available basis.

Level up in the kitchen! Visit the annual cookbook display for holiday dinner inspirations. Are you planning a winter feast, family celebration, or just dinner with a friend? Our display features recipes, techniques, ingredients and traditions from around the globe. Quinoa salad and shrimp gumbo to chocolate tart ... Level up!  

Makers Gonna Make. Handicrafts are a great way to keep the gloom away! Our Craft/Maker display includes dozens of books on knitting and sewing, drawing journaling, paper flowers, ropecraft, woodworking, and more. Find lots of inspiration for making meaningful gifts with your own hands!

Need research help? LCC librarians are available to help! Contact us by email, or chat directly from the orange ASK US button on the Library website. Or visit us in person at the Research Help desk from Monday to Thursday, 10 am-4 pm, and Fridays, 10 am- 2 pm.


Submit events and stories to the Titan Times

 
The Titan Times is shared with students weekly on Tuesdays. Submissions are due by 5 pm on Fridays during the regular term. If the campus is closed for a holiday on a Monday, the publication will be shared with students the following afternoon.  
 
Please include web links where students can find additional details of submitted information and submit posters or pictures as a .jpg or .png format. Submissions may be edited for content, clarity, and tone. Submit items for inclusion and suggestions to titantimes@lanecc.edu. Alternative formats are available through the Center for Accessible Resources.
