Mental Health Tip: Build Connections

Building connections with others is great for mental health! Connecting with others lowers anxiety and depression, improves the immune system, helps us manage our emotions as well as boosts our mood, and can also improve self-esteem! Here on some ways to create connections:

  • Join a club
  • Volunteer
  • Find common ground with a classmate and exchange contact information or plan to meet on campus
  • Schedule quality time to nurture current relationships
