Dispose old prescription drugs safely with Public Safety

The Public Safety Department participates in the Drug Enforcement Administration Drug Take Back Program, and we would be happy to accept any of your drugs ahead of time and hold them in our evidence locker before the due date of April 22, 10 am-2 pm. Public Safety is open Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm,  and can accept old medications in their original container. All solid-dosage dosage pharmaceutical products and liquids in consumer containers may be accepted. Intravenous solutions, injectables, and syringes will not be accepted due to the potential hazard of blood-borne pathogens. The collection site this week is Building 12, Room 200. Please see the link for more information.

Preschool enrollment at Lane Child & Family Center

Enrollment for preschool at Lane Child & Family Center will be the week of May 1-5 for children of Lane students and staff. The preschool is a nationally-accredited, Reggio-inspired early learning center that also serves as a lab school for Early Childhood Education majors--and is right here on main campus. Our center serves children ages 2.5 to 5 years old and offers large, well-staffed classrooms and spacious outdoor natural playscapes. We allow each child to develop at their own unique pace in a safe and emotionally responsive environment. Financial assistance options are available. We are located in Building 24. Call to set up a tour! 541-463-5517.

What's happening in the Library

It's been a dramatic time in the Library as we recover from a small fire and water damage. The event occurred over Spring break, and we are busy addressing repairs. Full recovery may take several weeks. While our physical space is closed, we have many services available online. We also have help in-person at the Library and SHeD desks in Center Bldg. Please check the Library website for the latest information.
🤔 Need research help?

Librarians are available by email or you chat directly using the red Ask Us button on the Library website. We can help you use databases, find sources, develop your topic, evaluate information, and more. Librarians are also available at the Library service desk in Center Bldg.

👀 Resources online!
Access to article databases, newspapers and streaming video is available from the Library website. Thousands of ebooks are accessible from the Library catalog. The Research Toolkit and dozens of Research Guides are always available!

📢 Library Student Survey
We know. It's a little odd to have a survey while the Library is closed, but we appreciate your support right now. Please take a moment to answer a few questions so we can learn how you use the Library (or don't), and make the Library even better! Take the Library Student Survey through May 2023. Enter your name for fun raffle prizes.

Thanks for your understanding while we navigate Spring term. We can't wait to see you again! ❤📖❤

Free tutoring can help students prepare for midterms

As a reminder, we are not able to help on midterm and final exams themselves; however, we are happy to help you prepare for them!

Free tutoring is happening this term on the main campus, downtown campus, and in the Lane Support Hub Zoom Room ! We are spread across 4 learning centers on main campus according to discipline. To see the specific location and hours of each center, please visit our tutoring site to get the most accurate, up-to-date information. As always, drop-ins are welcome, but making an appointment is encouraged in order to guarantee time with a tutor.
