Black Scholars Speaker Series presents Dr. Khalid White
|
|
|
|
|
|
Dr. Khalid White (He/Him/His) is an award-winner in the fields of Education, Film and Literature. A career educator, Khalid began educating California's youth and young adults in 2004. Presently, he is an African American Studies Professor at San Jose City College, located in the heart of California's Silicon Valley.

Free pizza, advising, dogs, and yoga at Library Study Jam
|
|
|
|
Please join us for Study Jam in the LCC Library on Tuesday, June 6 from 2-4 pm. Free Track Town pizza and other snacks will be provided. We will have some special visitors joining us to help you prepare for the end of the term: tutors, advisors, therapy dogs, and a yoga instructor to lead us in a relaxation practice. All LCC students are welcome!

Lane Support Hub Zoom Room
! At the main campus, we are spread across 4 learning centers according to discipline. To see the specific location and hours of each center, please visit our
tutoring site
to get the most accurate, up-to-date information. Drop-ins are welcome, but
making an appointment
is encouraged to guarantee time with a tutor.

Applications are open for "Redefining Skills" Roadtrip
|
|
|
|
|
RoadTrip Nation
is looking for people without a four-year degree, who are exploring the next step in their career path, and
who are working in these kinds of jobs now:
cashiers and retail, cleaning staff, restaurants and food service, rideshare and delivery drivers, maintenance staff, construction workers, warehouse workers, home health aide or other supportive roles in healthcare, or a mix of jobs like these.
The road trip will occur in Fall 2023; if you're chosen, they will work with you to make sure this experience fits around your life and commitments during this time. The application deadline is July 2, 2023.

Lane Transit District, named Best Mid-Sized Transit System in North America for 2014 is offering a paid internship opportunity at the starting wage of $17/hour.
