Watch and discuss Barbie as a movie about feminism

 

All students are welcome to watch “Barbie” at the Gender Equity Center, Building 1, Suite 202, followed by a discussion facilitated by staff. Free food for those who are watching the movie on Wed., Nov. 15, 12 pm. This event is sponsored by the GEC and the Gender and Sexuality Alliance.

Learn about Art-o-mat and other art at Building 11

 
Please join us Wed., Nov. 15, 2-5 pm at the Main Gallery in Building 11 for an artist talk and reception with special guest Clark Whittington, co-creator of the Art-o-mat project. The Art-o-mat project’s goal is to increase art consumption through refurbishing obsolete cigarette machines into art vending machines. 

Dr. Seri Robinson's Exhibition, Interruption of The Whole is on display in Roger Hall Gallery in Building 11 until Thu., Dec. 7. Dr. Robinson will give a talk followed by a reception on Thu., Nov. 16, 2-5 pm.

Talk about emergency contraception options at Clinic

 
Do you want to talk through emergency contraception options with a nurse or nurse practioner? The Student Health Clinic now has Plan B available for free without an appointment-just walk in and ask for it. The LCC Student Health Clinic is here for you at Building 18, Room 101, 541-463-5665.
 

Students can buy gifts for local low-income children

 
Students can buy gifts for low-income children by picking up a “hand” from the Holiday Giving Wall, located outside the Gender Equity Center (Building 1, Suite 202). Bring the gift back to the GEC by Fri., Dec. 8, to bring joy to children!

Library hosts “Study Jam” with therapy dogs on Nov. 28

 

Study Jam is a LCC Library tradition of studying and relaxing for classes. On Tue., Nov. 28, 2-4 pm join tutors, advisors, and therapy dogs, for academic assistance, yoga relaxation techniques, and free pizza/drinks for students. The Library is located on the second floor of the Center Building on Main Campus.

All students invited to “Peppermint with the President”

 

All students are invited to have hot chocolate with LCC President Stephanie Bulger on Thu., Nov. 30, 3-4 pm, at Center Building, 2nd Floor, between J&J Cafe and the Library. Talk about student issues, get a selfie with the President, and enjoy a hot beverage!
