Students and community members can connect with local and regional employers who are hiring for full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions.

Tip: Research employers! Visit the “participating employers” link often to stay up-to-date on who is attending. Browse their websites to find out who they are, what they do, and even who they hire. With that knowledge, you can target your resume to their needs, as well as ask intelligent questions at the Fair. Employers are impressed by students who research them ahead of time! Use this link to see participating employers (updated frequently)

Pertussis, a highly contagious disease that can have serious consequences, is occurring in our community at the moment. The best way to protect you and your loved ones is to get vaccinated with Tdap. The Tdap Vaccination is available at the Health Clinic. Call 541-463-5665 to make an appointment.

Lane County is seeing a dramatic increase in drug overdoses. Much of this increase is due to Fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid that has no taste or smell. It can be found in pills sold as Xanax, Adderall, Vicodon, OxyContin or others or in powders sold as cocaine, MDMA (ecstasy, molly), and heroin. Fentanyl can cause a loss of breathing within moments. Do not trust pills that are not from a pharmacy. The Mental Health and Wellness Center is offering free fentanyl test strips. Come by bldg. 18, room 101 to get your LifeLine Carekit: Your Toolbox for Safer Drug Use.

Student Mental Health & Wellness Center is also offering drop-in group counseling for Spring term. All Groups will be meeting in Building 19 room 106. For more information you can email us at mhwc@lanecc.edu or call us at 541-463-5920.
