Day: Dec., 2 World AIDS Day of Remembrance in the GEC. HIV has not gone away and its important to remind ourselves and our community about the stigma around HIV and how to further improve education. Stop on by Building 1 Room 202 for resources and support from 11:00-1:00 PM.
Day: Dec., 3-6 Study Space for finals. Stop by the GEC. to relax and study in a space that will fuel you up with free coffee and tea from 10:00-2:00 PM in Building 1 Room 202.
Day: Dec., 5 Take a break and enjoy an evening of inspiring choral music at Lane Community College's Fall Choir Concert. The Lane Chamber Choir, Lane Concert Choir, and North Eugene High School Varsity Choir will perform together, featuring uplifting music and an audience sing-along. The concert will take place on Thursday, December 5th, 2024, at 7:30 PM in Ragozzino Hall on the LCC Main Campus. Admission is by donation, with a suggested amount of $5 to $10. All proceeds will support student scholarships. We hope to see you there!
Day: Dec., 6 The Student Activity Fee Committee (SAFC) invites all students to its first public review session! This is your opportunity to see firsthand how student fees are allocated to support programs like the Student Government (SGA), Council of Clubs (COC), ASLCC Access the Law, and the Oregon Student Association (OSA). Whether in person (CEN 202) or online, come observe the funding process in action and learn how your fees contribute to campus life. We look forward to seeing you there on Friday from 4:00-6:00 PM!
Day: Dec., 7 Join Transponder for a Credit Building Workshop with DevNW where you'll learn about improving your credit score and financial health. This FREE in-person event will cover debt, credit scores, resources and how to build & protect your credit! Register here.

Day: Dec., 15 Application due! Are you a student trying to learn about premedical student life, how to become a competitive applicant for a medical program, or planning to transfer to a university to pursue health sciences? Join Pathways to Medicine's Mentorship program for 1-1 matched mentoring throughout the year! This mentorship initiative connects students with upper-division health science majors who have successfully transferred to universities or are pursuing post-baccalaureate studies. These mentors offer personalized guidance on course planning, extracurriculars, clinical experience, and more, with the goal of making the transition to higher education smoother and more accessible.

Closure Reminder - Lane campuses will be closed this week, Thursday, November 28 to Sunday, December 1. No classes will be held and no college services will be available.
If you see something that doesn't seem right to you, say something by reporting it to Public Safety at 541-463-5558. Public Safety Officers will respond and observe and/or investigate the behavior. It is better to err on the side of caution in preventing possible crime and/or suspicious behavior that could lead to violence.

Looking to make the perfect hummus, an extravagant layer cake, or a Greek salad? Check out the collection of over 100 cookbooks, and get your feasting on! Native American Art is celebrated in our book display featuring prominent Native artists from across the US. Browse this display through December. Common Read, A Psalm for the Wild, continues in Winter term! Need help with research? Librarians are available in person and online to assist students with finding, evaluating, and citing sources for research assignments.

Do you have a concern about a class? If you have a concern about a course your are taking, please talk with your instructor if you feel comfortable doing so. If not, please consider filling out a class concern form. Common class concerns can include: not posting grades in a timely manner, unexpected changes in class modality/delivery, unreasonable changes to the syllabus, and grade penalties for academic misconduct without the opportunity to explain.
