Weβve had a rocky start to the Spring 2025 term with class rosters from Banner not matching the participant lists in Moodle. The issue stemmed from enrollments being sent before some Moodle courses were fully created, which caused about 320 students across 70β80 classes to be missing or misaligned.
An initial fix was deployed yesterday, but it only partially resolved the issue and inadvertently introduced a second problem: course drops and wait-listed released enrollments for all courses were not processing. I've since identified and cleared out the underlying system hang-ups and deployed a follow-up fix to address both issues.
At this time, enrollment syncing has stabilized, and we are continuing to monitor closely.
π Tip: Manual enrollments are a useful tool in a pinch to help students immediately access course materials. This can be especially helpful when it comes to wait-listed students who may experience delays in getting cleared. Just remember, if you're manually enrolling students to set an enrollment end date. When the official Banner enrollment does kick in, it'll automatically let the student continue in the course.
I appreciate all of you who reached out to the ATC and provided examples of enrollment mismatches. This is how we initially identified the problem and were able to intervene quickly with system updates. Thank you for your continued support!
