Monday & Tuesday (Sept., 28 & Sept 29):

Lost? We’ve got you! Stop by the large tent by the Center Building (inside depending on weather) for some help finding your classes and get FREE coffee and snacks | 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM. Also, don't miss your opportunity to join the Titan Trek is a 45-minute accessible walking tours (10:30 AM & 1:30 PM) during these days that introduces students to key campus resources, including the Center for Accessible Resources, Zen Den, student engagement spaces, Fitness Education Center, and the Titan Food Pantry. Walk at a comfortable pace, explore supportive spaces, and discover how Lane helps every Titan thrive.

Thursday (Oct. 2):

Need a quick pick me up or a fuzzy friend to start your day? Stop by the grassy area next to the bus stop and building 1 to grab a quick coffee and check out the Petting Zoo! This is a great way to meet your SGA senators! | 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Week 2: Wednesday (Oct., 8): Discover all the campus has to offer (including student jobs) at the Resource Fair – freebies and info galore on the second floor in the Center Building! | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Interested in starting a club, learn how to find your niche at How to Become a Club (RSO) in Center 201 | 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Week 3: Tuesday (Oct .,14):

Need a bit more support? Check out the Community Resource Fair on the second floor in the Center Building! | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Week 4: Monday - Thursday (Oct., 20-23):

Join the fun! Explore starting and recognized student organizations at the Involvement Fair, Monday- Thursday with open tabling, but if you are really wanting to know what each student organization has to offer, check out the Engagement Mixer with freebies, mocktails, free food and more on the second floor in the Center Building! | 10:30 - 1:30 PM

Week 5: Thursday (Oct., 30):

Spooky season fun! Join us for Pumpkins, Pizza, and Presidents – a Halloween hangout you won’t want to miss! | 12:00 PM - 2:30 PM

Tips for Week Zero - Pre-Start-of-Term Week

Here’s a few things to do before the term begins:

1. Know Your Schedule

Log into your myLane account to check your schedule. Write down or put the following into your calendar for each of your courses:

• Course title

• Instructor name & email

• CRN (Course Reference Number)

• Class meeting days & times

• Class modality (in-person, hybrid, online)

• Class location (find your way on our digital map)

1. Log into your Moodle account, where you’ll find course materials and resources for your online classes.

Do you have what you need?

1. Need school supplies but short on cash? There are free school supplies like pens, paper, binders, and notecards on a shelf just outside of the Student Life and Leadership Office in Center Building, 2nd floor.

1. Need transportation? If you’ve paid the transportation fee, you can apply for a free bus pass for the term.

1. Need other help? Connect with a College Achievement Coach for friendly, personal guidance–Building 1, (541) 463-3100, collegeachievementcoaches@lanecc.edu.

Finally, please note that all LCC campuses will be closed to the public this Thursday, September 25 for an employee event

The Fall term LCC Dreams Fund Scholarship application is now open for students who are not eligible for federal Financial Aid due to immigration status. Assistance prioritizes ESL students, students transitioning to credit classes and students pursuing short-term training. Additionally, this term there are also funds specifically for LCC students of Mexican origin with demonstrated financial need, thanks to the IME Becas Grant from the Mexican Consulate.

If you have a concern about a course your are taking, please talk with your instructor if you feel comfortable doing so. If not, please consider filling out a class concern form. Common class concerns can include: not posting grades in a timely manner, unexpected changes in class modality/delivery, unreasonable changes to the syllabus, and grade penalties for academic misconduct without the opportunity to explain.
