Hello instructors,
This is a reminder that Moodle MAY have intermittent availability Dec 7th from 12am-4am PST. During this maintenance window MoodleRooms will be migrating our site to a newer and more secure infrastructure. MoodleRooms has apologized for any inconvenience this may cause, however the migration is needed per potential security vulnerabilities. Â
We understand this timing is not ideal, however MoodleRooms has stated it does not expect any downtime. MoodleRooms stated if there is an outage they do not expect it to be any longer than 90 minutes.
We also apologize for the inconvenience and understand the sensitivity to the timing of this potential outage. We do everything we can to make sure Moodle is available 24/7 for our faculty and students. However, some times a change is needed that could result in a potential short outage.
We are also happy to report that the potential outage last night did not occur. MoodleRooms was able to apply an emergency security patch or our site without any interruption of service.
I would also like to introduce Mel Stark and Josh Manders as our new Moodle admins! They have joined the ATC to support faculty and students in Moodle while I am on a temporary assignment as instructional designer. You can reach any of us by emailing/calling the ATC or emailing moodleadmin@lanecc.edu. If you see Mel or Josh please be sure to thank them for stepping into this critical role for the college.
