At 1:27 pm yesterday (Sunday, June 7th), we began receiving reports that Moodle users were unable to access classes.lanecc.edu due to network timeout issues (504 network gateway timeout error). ~15 minutes later (1:41pm), the site was back online and fully operational.
I am aware that this unplanned outage caused issues for several students and am actively investigating the cause with our Moodle host. While some students were able to pick up where they left off, others were unable to complete their quiz attempt due to the interruption.
Please take this outage into consideration when working with your students. If you have any questions or need to confirm if specific students could not login (submit assignments, quizzes, etc..) during this time please contact me directly.
