Instructors,
At 4:15 pm yesterday (Wednesday, March 10th), we began receiving reports that several Moodle users were unable to establish a stable connection with classes.lanecc.edu. ~15 minutes later (4:30pm), our host (OpenLMS) identified a DNS network provider issue and began repairs. By 5pm, the site appeared to be stable and fully operational users. Our host will continue to monitor the recovery and provide a final confirmation once they have verified the issue has been resolved.
While some students were able to pick up where they left off after closing their browsers and logging in again, others may have been unable to complete their quiz attempt due to the interruption.
Please take this outage into consideration when working with your students. If you have any questions or need to confirm if specific students could not login (submit assignments, quizzes, etc..) during this time please contact me directly.
