New director for Student Life and Leadership

 

LCC Student Affairs is pleased to announce that Desiree Woodruff is the new Interim Director of Student Life and Leadership. With more than 22 years of experience in higher education, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role. Some of Desiree’s responsibilities will include advising student government and clubs, promoting student activities and engagement, and Commencement. Desiree comes to this position most-recently from the Center of Accessible Resources with a Master of Education from the University of La Verne, but she has worked at LCC in various positions since 2013. Also, prior to LCC Desiree advised student government and clubs, planned events and programs in residence life at the University of Oregon and other universities in Southern California.

Rec Sports has basketball, volleyball, and weights

Rec sports is offering:
  • Rec Basketball MWF 7-8:30am
  • Rec Volleyball MWF 10-11am
  • Rec Weights 12:30-1:30pm TWT

Building 5, Room 130, $5 fee for the term.

Four tutoring centers serve students, online too

This term, tutoring is on campus in addition to the Lane Support Hub Zoom Room ! We are spread across 4 learning centers according to discipline. To see the specific location and hours of each center, please visit our tutoring site to get the most accurate, up-to-date information for your students. As always, drop-ins are welcome, but making an appointment is encouraged in order for students to guarantee time with a tutor.

Students present ten-minute plays Feb. 17-18

 

It is time for The Student Production Association's annual winter show! Winter Shorts: A Festival of New Ten-Minute Plays will include world premieres of six ten-minute plays written and directed by LCC Theatre students and local playwrights and directors, with themes that range from absurdist comedy to heartbreaking drama. Performances will be held on February 17th and 18th at 7:30 p.m. and February 19th at 2 p.m. at the Blue Door Theater on Lane's main campus.
