LCC staff and faculty would like to welcome you back to
Main Campus
on Tuesday, September 26, and Wednesday September 27, 7:30 am-2 pm on both days. Whether you've been attending LCC for years or this is your first term, please stop at one of our two welcome tents near the bus station and the Center Building. Have a free beverage and a treat on your first day of school. We will also have LCC employees near Buildings 7 and 16 as well as Building 1 to help you find offices and classes.
Downtown Campus
would like to greet you 8:30-11 am and 5:30-6:30 pm on both September 26 and 27. Downtown will also have treats for you.

on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, 10 am-2 pm, at the Center Building Atrium (2nd Floor). All welcome activities are sponsored by Northwest Community Credit Union.

Eligible students need to get a new bus pass every term
|
|
|
|
|
|
Students who are enrolled for campus-based credit courses and pay the $27/term student transportation fee are eligible to apply for a bus pass at any time for that term. Approved students will receive a code to input into a smartphone app called Umo. This pass is valid from September 18-December 31. For more information and to apply, please click

Being hungry is not a normal part of going to college
|
|
|
|
|
|
Skipping meals to save money is one form of food insecurity. All LCC students can come to the Student Food Pantry to supplement their own and their household's food at no cost. The Student Food Pantry at Center 153 (the "back" part of Center Building facing Building 12), for Fall 2023, Monday-Wednesday, 10 am-2 pm, starting Tuesday, September 26.

Private lactation room available at GEC in Building 1
|
|
|
|
|
|
Parents nursing children have access to a lactation room located at the Gender Equity Center, Building 1, Suite 202. The GEC is open Monday-Thursday, 9 am-4 pm, and Fridays 9 am-2 pm. The
GEC
exists for students, staff, and faculty and focuses on supporting an inclusive campus environment where all genders and sexual identities are valued and supported.

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at MCC and Library
|
|
|

|
Celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15-October 15) with the LCC community. Here are two upcoming events (more to come!):

Watch “A Million Miles Away”
, starring Michael Peña, about the first Mexican-American astronaut and former migrant farmworker, José M. Hernández. The movie will be followed by a brief group discussion. Please join us on Thursday, October 12, 12:30 pm, at Building 1, Suite 206 (the Multicultural Center).

Come see the book display in the Library!
The Library at the Center Building has many new fiction and nonfiction books for Hispanic Heritage Month, including a copy of
Illyanna Maisonet's "Diasporican: a Puerto Rican cookbook."
