Visit a welcome station in between classes on Sep. 27
|

LCC staff and faculty enjoyed welcoming you back to online school, Main Campus, and the Downtown Campus. On Sep. 27, employees will be out at tents near the flagpoles by the bus station and at the Center Building patio to help you find classes and answer questions. Please stop by to enjoy treats as well as enter a drawing for gift cards. We will also have LCC employees near Buildings 7 and 16 as well as Building 1 to help you find offices and classes.
Downtown Campus would like to greet you on Sep. 27, 8:30-11 am and 5:30-6:30 pm. If you're taking classes online, check out our online scavenger hunt on Moodle. You'll enter for a chance to win a back-to-school gift basket and learn all about the free virtual resources LCC has to offer.
Finally, learn more about resources for college students at the
2023 Resource Fair
on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, 10 am-2 pm, at the Center Building Atrium (2nd Floor). All welcome activities are sponsored by Northwest Community Credit Union.

Learn about student health at Building 18 on Sep. 27
|
|
|
|
|
|
Learn about the many free resources for physical and mental health available to students at the Student Health and Wellness Center, and "Zen Den" at this open house with free light refreshments. This open house is on Wednesday, September 27, 10 am-3 pm, at Building 18, Rooms 101 and 102.

Audition for student production of Wunderkammer
|
|
|
|
The Student Production Association at Lane produces a show each term. This fall's show is Wunderkammer by Francesca Prazniokas. A taxidermist faces an extraordinary uprising when his new assistant brings his taxidermy animals back to life. This quirky yet touching new play is about identity and tribalism, blurring the line between human and animal, and life and death. Auditions are Tue and Wed Sep. 26 and 27, 6-8 pm. Actors can come at any time. Production dates are Nov. 16-19.

Child care for variety of ages is available at Building 24
|

Lane Child and Family Center, LCC's child care center has openings! The Center provides care for children ages 18-months to 5-years old, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am-5:30 pm, except on Thursdays, when it closes at 5 pm. The Center has openings for all ages. 🎇 Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with our book display through October, and a game of LoterÍa on October 10 from 1-2 pm with prizes and snacks. Also, a reminder that we are expanding our Spanish-language literature collection which is shelved on the Library's entry level.
📖 National Banned Books Week is October 1-7. Our book display features many of the top challenged books in the US and underscores the theme, "Let Freedom Read."

Register to play and volunteer for volleyball tournament

Students, staff, and faculty can

to participate in "VolleyBowl I" on Thursday, Oct. 26, 11:30 am-1 pm. The event will take place at the gymnasium with free admission for students and faculty.
Also, sign up to
volunteer
as coaches, officials, announcers, and setup crew.

Bus Pass:
Students who pay the $27/term student transportation fee are eligible to apply for a bus pass at any time for that term. This pass is valid from September 18-December 31. For more information and to apply, please click

Food Pantry:
The Student Food Pantry at Center 153 (the "back" part of Center Building facing Building 12), for Fall 2023, Monday-Wednesday, 10 am-2 pm

Lactation Room:
Parents nursing children have access to a lactation room located at the Gender Equity Center, Building 1, Suite 202. The GEC is open Monday-Thursday, 9 am-4 pm, and Fridays 9 am-2 pm.
