In Titus Kaphar's presentation "Making Space for Diverse History", he
imagines
a renewed, more nuanced engagement with American history: envisioning new spaces for marginalized or forgotten bodies to enter, and disrupt, the evolving fabric of our culture. Join the LCC community and
Kaphar on Thu., Jan. 11, 3:30 pm, at Building 10. A reception with refreshments follows the presentation at 5 pm.

Attend class during Week 1 to avoid getting dropped

Students need to attend and participate in classes during Week 1 or risk losing their registration for that class. For hybrid and online classes, log in and complete any Week 1 assignments. Attend "$HOW ME THE MONEY!" scholarship workshops
|
|
|
|
We’ll continue to host Scholarship Workshops throughout Winter Term and Spring Break so you can meet the March 1 deadline (LCC and Ford Family applications) and April 1 deadline (OSAC application).
There are two different workshops depending upon your needs….
Workshop #1: Intro to Scholarships and Start Your Applications
After reviewing the Lane Foundation, OSAC, and Ford Family Foundation scholarships, we’ll help you start your online applications. Please arrive at the workshop start time.
Workshop #2: Applications and Personal Statements Review
Bring drafts of personal statements for review by writing tutors and us, as well as work on your online applications. Drop in anytime during these workshop hours.

Are you nonbinary or gender nonconforming? Are you taking at least one class at Lane Community College (or have in the past year)? Do you want to share what it’s like for you to be a nonbinary or gender nonconforming student at Lane?
Everyone experiences college differently. I want to know what it’s like for you! What you’ll do: Take photos of things important to your sense of belonging at LCC Discuss the photos with other participants.

Meet composer, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and all-around star Camille Thurman on Fri., Jan. 19, 4-5 pm, at Ragozzino Theatre. Thurman is the feature of this year's Oregon Jazz Festival. Meeting Thurman from 4-5 pm is free. The Concert at 6 pm costs $15. This event is co-sponsored by LCC and UO's Music/Performing Arts Departments. Learn more at
