Apply to be a senator with student government, Spring

LCC student senators are part of the Lane Student Government Association . Up to two senator positions are available for Spring 2024. Senators represent students on LCC councils and committees, put on programs and events for the student body, and advocate for students.

Senators who apply will need to gather electronic signatures from students and attend the public SGA meeting on Mon., Mar., 18, 6-8:30 pm, at Center Building 202 or on Zoom at https://lanecc.zoom.us/j/92487343077 . Prospective senators should be prepared to give a brief statement and answer questions from current senators.

In an effort to make it easier for students to participate in student government, senators receive a weekly stipend of $100 as well as a partial tuition reduction through a grant.

The next SGA public meeting is on Mon., Mar. 11, 6-8:30 am, at the Downtown Center, Room 421, or on Zoom at https://lanecc.zoom.us/j/94685564991 . Email questions about being a student senator to Director of Student Life and Leadership Beccah Maley .
