Explore the wonderful world of pi while eating free pie for Pi Day, Mar. 14, starting at 1 p.m. at the STEM Learning Zone (Building 16, Room 193). Facts about pi:
- "Pi (often represented by the lower-case Greek letter π), one of the most well-known mathematical constants, is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter.
- For any circle, the distance around the edge is a little more than three times the distance across." (Visit piday.org for more Pi info!)
- “Probably no symbol in mathematics has evoked as much mystery, romanticism, misconception and human interest as the number pi” - William L. Schaaf, Nature and History of Pi

LCC Library featuring feminism and more for March
|
|
|
|
|
|
Happy spring, peeps! The Library is blooming with activities. Visit our
website
for more:
- Celebrate Women's History Month with our display on Feminism. We've pulled an array of history, art, feminist theory, and more about how women navigate inequality and empower each other to create a better world. Grab a feminist button — wear it proudly!
- Read beyond the headlines on Israel/Palestine. Learn about the devastating impacts of occupation through poetry, history, and story-telling from writers focusing on peace and justice.
- Democracy needs you! With Primary elections in May and Federal elections in November, the Library is promoting voter registration. Stop by for a dose of inspiration about why you should vote, and more information about voting in Oregon.
- Need something fun to read over spring break? We've got you covered: fiction, fantasy, cookbooks, camping & travel guides, graphic novels, thrillers, and more.
-

Need refills of your medications? Do you have health care needs that have been nagging you, but haven’t had time to make an appointment? It has been a busy term! If you have been putting off getting into the clinic you can still make an appointment for this week, or finals week.
The Health Clinic will be closed for medical appointments during Spring Break, Mar. 25-29. We will re-open Apr. 1. For prescription refills during the break, contact your pharmacy. For medical emergencies call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
The Health Clinic does not provide after-hours medical care. For appointments call 541-463-5665 or stop in Building 18, Room 101. Have a great spring break and see you next term!
