Student Government Treasurer position application open |
|

|
Get involved and make a difference in student leadership! Applications for the open Treasurer position with the Student Government Association (SGA) are now open and will remain available until Friday, January 26. Qualified applicants will need to collect 30 verified signatures from students who have paid the Student Activity Fee between Saturday, January 27, and Tuesday, January 30.
To be considered for this position—or for future openings, including spring elections—students are required to attend at least one public SGA meeting, held every Tuesday at 4:00 PM in CEN 202. For more information on this position check out the expectations and responsibilities of the SGA Treasurer position! This process will conclude during the public SGA meeting on Tuesday, February 4. For more information stop by Center 201.

Feb. 13 - 15: The Student Production Association is proud to present Winter Shorts! Each winter term, SPA hosts a celebration of ten-minute plays written and directed by students. Join us at the Blue Door Theatre on LCC’s Main Campus to watch the next generation of theatre professionals! All performances are free to the public, but donations are gladly accepted. No need for reservations as seating is available at the door starting at 7:30 P.M., and on Feb. 16 at 2:00 P.M.

Financial Aid: Good News! Lane Community College has contracted with Educational Credit Management Corporation (ECMC) to provide Financial Literacy and Default Prevention information to our students at no cost to the student. You will be hearing more about these options during Winter Term as we roll out the products.
Tutoring: department offers writing support online, via email, and in person for writing classes (like WR 121Z) or for writing assignments for any class. Come see us in person in the STEM Zone (Building 16, Rooms 169 and 193) or online in the Tutoring Zoom Room! You can also request feedback on your writing via email by sending it to writingtutor@lanecc.edu. You can expect to receive a response within 1-2 business days.

Jan. 27: DUE DATE Share your perspective as a Lane Community College student at the All-Faculty and Deans Forum on Friday, February 14, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. We're seeking students for a 30-45 minute panel to share insights, shape student support, and connect with campus leaders. Panelists will receive questions in advance and can expect a welcoming environment. Participants will also receive a $20 food voucher and a small gift. All students are welcome—your voice matters, sign up here!
Do you have a concern about a class? If you have a concern about a course your are taking, please talk with your instructor if you feel comfortable doing so. If not, please consider filling out a class concern form. Common class concerns can include: not posting grades in a timely manner, unexpected changes in class modality/delivery, unreasonable changes to the syllabus, and grade penalties for academic misconduct without the opportunity to explain.
