Winter term 2020 courses have been hidden from students and weāve started our backup process for the previous term which includes the offline archiving of Winter 2019 courses.
Reminder: 5 terms worth of courses are directly accessible to instructors within Moodle. After 5 terms, the courses are removed from classes.lanecc.edu to preserve server space and keep our Moodle hosting costs affordable. Archived classes can quickly be restored by sending the CRN and term of the course you need to be made available to you to the ATC (atc@lanecc.edu).
ā ļø Service Interruption
Our Moodle hosting provider will be applying a software upgrade (3.7 MP2) on Thursday, April 16th between 12:30am-2:30am Pacific Standard Time (PST). During that time, classes.lanecc.edu will be unreachable and/or slow to respond. There are no new major features to announce but the update from our Moodle host will provideĀ several bug fixes.
š¤ Respondus Lockdown Browser & MonitoringĀ provides all LaneCC instructors with Moodle-based quizzes with the option to utilize an AI-based proctoring solution at no cost to students. What does the experience look like? ā self-enroll into our demo course and see if this proctoring solution works for you (anyone including students can self-enroll)!

Be sure to update your zoom client to the latest version in order to take advantage of a new security feature found on your meeting toolbar. See this feature in action!

Default meeting settings continue to be adjusted in order to address security concerns, increase usability, and adapt to a wide variety of instructor usage. We understand these quick changes can be annoying and frustrating but ask for your continued patience as we continue to optimize the zoom ecosphere.
