Instructors, In several communications we incorrectly listed weekend hours for the Academic Technology Center’s (ATC) help desk. The ATC is closed over the weekend as well as Fridays throughout the summer term to observe mandatory furlough and college closures. Apologies for any confusion this may have caused. ⛱️ Academic Technology Center’s Summer hours as of June 28th, 2020 (confirmed): Zoom: ATC Virtual Support (live virtual help) | M-Th 10a-2p Moodle v.3.8 Release Successful! Our Moodle host successfully released Moodle v3.8 Thursday, July 9th from 12:30am to approximately 6:30am adding a few new features, enhancements, and bug fixes. 🔖 Tip: Don't make modifications inside old courses. If you do, you may lose those changes forever (true story!! 😱 ). Making modifications inside your course and not using a separate development shell = living dangerously. At the end of each term, an official archive of the class is created — including all of the materials, assignments, posts, participants, and student work. 5 terms worth of classes are kept available in Moodle so that instructors can refer back to the class or import materials into the next term. At the end of 5 terms, we delete the course from Moodle and do NOT update course archives. The ATC can only recover the content within the archive created at the end of each term OR content from daily/weekly backups our Moodle host creates on our behalf. 📚 Tutoring: Summer Hours & Updates Monday - Thursday 10a - 1p and 1:30p - 4:30p The Lane Support Hub for students will extend through the summer term. All summer term students are enrolled in this free support space and can easily drop into our Zoom room, find links and handouts, and chat with and email tutors.
