Congratulations to the Native American Student Association for putting on a Pow Wow attended by hundreds on April 1, 2023. Organized by students, the Pow Wow featured Native dancing, drums, crafts, and traditions from many peoples.

Eligible students can apply for Spring 2023 bus passes
|
|
|
|
|
|
Students who are taking campus-based credit classes (paying the $27/term transportation fee) can now start applying for the
Spring 2023 LCC student bus pass
at no additional charge. Students must apply for a new pass for every term they are a student. For more information, please see the
LCC Bus Pass webpage
. Spring 2023 passes are valid from March 20-June 30, 2023.

New, expanded hours for Student Food Pantry for Spring
|
|
|
|
|
|
The Rainy Day Food Pantry will have new, expanded hours for Spring 2023. Starting on Tuesday, April 4, the student pantry will be open from 11 am-4pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The Pantry is located at Center 153, ground floor--the entrance faces Building 12. The Pantry is for any student who is unable to afford sufficient nutritious food for themselves for any reason.

LCC welcomes Native American Program Coordinator
|
|
|
|
|
|
As the new Native American Program Coordinator, Avery will teach and develop programs for Native students. He belongs to the Apsáalooke People of the Crow Nation as well as to the Qlispé People of the Flathead Nation, both of which are located in what we now call Montana. Avery was raised in families from both Nations for whom education is highly valued. A fourth generation college student, Avery holds a BS in Resource Conservation from the W.A. Franke College of Forestry at the University of Montana. He also earned his MA in Native American Studies from Montana State University. He is currently a PhD student studying water policy and climate justice. Avery is committed to serving Indigenous and Native American students and is eager to represent LCC in advancing Native representation with higher education. In his spare time, Avery can be found on a River, playing basketball, or trail running.

Are you hurting since the pandemic? Are you looking for healthier ways to cope? The Mental Health and Wellness Center is offering two convenient workshops on how to move past fear, grief and loneliness. These workshops will help you to develop healthy coping habits and change the ones that are holding you back.You will leave both workshops with real skills and strategies that you can start using right away!

Early Outreach hiring Student Navigators for Spring Term
|
|
|
|
|
Early Outreach is seeking to hire a diverse group of Student Navigators for Spring 2023. They will be working on the 1st floor of Building 1, helping students and prospective students with applications, department referrals, myLane, FAFSA, registration, Lane resources, and more! If you know of any current students that may be interested (and they are receiving federal work study or can apply for work study), please encourage them to apply on the
