Instructors,
I've been alerted that our local utility provider (EWEB) is cutting and relocating a major internet fiber backbone cable that our network services are delivered through as part of the University of Oregon's construction at the Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact.
The outage will happen this Saturday, August 22nd
beginning at 5am and continue for 12-24 hours.
The cable cut affects our ability to login to Moodle even if you are able to access the Moodle login page (classes.lanecc.edu). I highly advise you and your students plan on not having access to Moodle services for the entire day.
Notification will be sent out tomorrow to all students and staff through email and social media but please try and touch base with your students before the weekend to ensure they are aware of the interruption.
All of campus services will be effected at main campus, downtown campus, airport, KLCC, and dental clinic locations. Most IT services such as our campus website, Banner, myLane, Moodle, will also be unavailable during the outage.
